I started up a server recently and found that the same recipe creates two different items. In my case, 7 copper ingots in a U shape creates both a Galacticraft copper canister and a Mariculture vat. Is there anything I can change to prevent this?
Thanks. Those are at least starting points. I have a smidgen of c# experience from work before changing jobs. I'll checkout both options. Could be fun to learn some java for fun.
There's a few mods out there to help with recipe conflicts. In some cases, you can either choose between Mod A or Mod B, if the resulting item is non-essential, or if the rest of the mod is less than expected. I've seen mods advertising altered crafting GUIs, so that you can choose the resulting item while crafting. ModTweaker is another mod, which allows you to add, remove, or change recipes for game. I'm sure there's other options, as well.
Well, luckily so far it's been all the conflicting recipes have been for rarely made items and I have a small group of patient people on the server. So far we've been doing it so that if you find a conflicting recipe, make the undesired item and give it or the recipe items to an op and they'll give you the item you need.
What do you do when you have two mods with the same recipe for different items?
