Hello everyone my name is Nathan and I've spent the last year working on a mod pack of my own that I could share with my friends and eventually the world! It ended up being 138 mods and counting!
My girlfriend Victoria and I created 3 mod pack showcases to show you all the mods, give details on some of the less well known ones and give you some ideas on what you can do with them.
The mod pack's theme:
What i wanted to do in making this pack was to create a minecraft that was fully formed with as much content as possible however i wanted to make shore that each and every mod fulfilled a specific need. the sort of "see a need fill a need" process of adding mods. so i'd play the pack and once i run into a "thing i can't do" or a "it would be cool if i could" sort of situation. then i would find a mod to fill that need. with that being the desire of this pack i believe it will always be a working work in progress pack. as in i will always be looking for and adding new mods but the mod pack should always work.
this mod pack will be on 1.7.10 and if resonance engine from universal electricity allows it 1.7.2.
The 1.7.10 version is currently up to 75/140 mods.
the only thing stopping me from releasing the 1.7.10 pack right now is the lack of key mods that have not updated yet this is because once added they will make any previously created worlds unplayable. i don't want you to build something awesome in 1.7.10 in my mod pack and then i update and its gone. so as soon as thous key mods update and become stable. galacticraft, mffs, and miners deluxe to name a few i will release the 1.7.10 version to Technic where you can all download it.
as for map compatibility between 1.6.4 and 1.7.10 i am trying my hardest for the sake of my Server World to make them, at least through MC Edit, compatible. what that means is you will be able to take your home and other creations (including the ground they stand on) in 1.6.4 and copy them over to a new world in 1.7.10 using MC Edit. i hope that it wont come to that and that the worlds will be playable as they are now (without the need for MC Edit) but many mod makers assure me they wont be unless your world is first brought to 1.7.2.
there are many new things to look forward to in 1.7.10 like the ping tool from portal 2 many new guns, new mobs, and many new features for nearly every mod in the pack.
but for now we have the full 138 mod pack in 1.6.4 for the enjoyment of all
and i'm here to introduce it to you myself.

Mod List: (now in kind of alphabetical order! At least something came out of me needing to do it all over again)
Waiting for permission: first link is info (second link), if available, is download
for downloads if you go through adfly or something like it. that is the way the mod makers' set it up
in other words once you click that link your no longer viewing anything i made or did.
i only went to their site and copied the download link address making sure not to bypass any re-directions like adfly so as a final iteration i'm just saving you time so you don't need to sift through witch mod version to pick.
fixed up some resource pack problems
and added a very low setting to the resource packs
it's a 32x32 resolution pack
i might make a not so very low pack to go in between very low and low
that includes mod support
also added some stuff from faithful venom to the normal faithful packs in 64x64 resolution (wheat, planks, glass)
V 2.0.1a Got permission for and therefor added Vanilla plus
V 2.0.1b Fixed the resource packs so that they include faithful venom instead of faithful 64x64 due to license problems

updated the resource packs to remove halocraft patch (it was causing rapid texture loss still don't know why)
if you were not experiencing problems of have other ideas there is a link near the bottom of the forum page that will take you to where you can download it yourself.

(if you get an "id mismatched between world and game" that's why. don't worry it's all good)
updated server world with lots of secret stuff
will be working on more textures if home work lets up.
and will soon "if i have permission" be adding spawn plates.

fixed the mising HEE mod
set up and re released the forge server
added some 64x64 textures ive worked on for more pistons mod
worked on a bunch of config files so that some crafting recipes work,
some energy stuff works better, and a lot of other stuff that i forgot because its late.
thinned out the resource packs again and i'm still dropping textures all over so don't know how to fix it
except to maybe buy another $200 gpu and sli them together
i can't add spawn plates because i can't find the 1.6.4 virsion
that i had a link for before the forum deleted it
will continue to work on the resource packs and hopefully find a solution to this madness.

re added the gender mod
worked on textures for more pistons
atempted some work in pneumaticraft modles but it was too much for my pc to handle so i droped it
lot's of work in server world
build faster is not the sorce of the bracking things too quicly bug.
i'll keep trying to isolate it but i'm really now sure what else would do this.
offishaly removed the printer block and mine plus from the pack
they were just taking up space.
i really want to start moving over to 1.7.10 but i'm waiting on light bridges because the server world won't work without them
when i do get everything redy i'll do a let's play on moving everything over so you can all see how it's done

continuing on with this mod pack and making videos i will be using the journey map however i will not be including this in my mod pack download because the mod maker has forbidden it with good reason. however i encourage all of you to head to his very well designed web page and download it yourselves.
if you want to build something in the server world that's included in the mod pack and have it in the videos then back up your save make it and send me the file i'll MC Edit that sucker in.

i found out what was causing the texture loses its optifine. to fix it go to you graphics card settings and disable Threaded optimization.
i'm about 97% sure that this fixed it (i did some ...performance testing "so much TNT.....")
well here we are at the beginning of how we must do things
from now on:
so because of problems with mod distribution privileges i have been forced to permanently change the way this mod pack works.
from now on there will be 2 versions of this pack.
one for me and my 3 friends (A PRIVET PACK!!)
that we will play and record videos on
and the second a public pack with many mods removed:
in this pack although many mods will be removed, their configs and other supporting files will still be installed
this means that, if you wish, you can use the links i will provide to go and install the missing mods yourself.
now i'm not leaving it all in your hands.
because I've left all of the supporting files intact you wont have to deal with:
block id conflicts
world crashes
world incompatibilities
item id conflicts (which are some times especially hard to fix due to crafting recipes)
resource pack problems
and inter mod conflicts
all you have to do is download the mod and put it in the mods folder of the pack
and i will give you a detailed explanation on how to do that soon
first i have some work to do on ripping these mods out of the pack.
until then the public pack will remain HIDDEN on the Technic page
and the forge server will be unavailable

as hiteen (the maker of faithful 64x64) will be in the army until summer 2015 i can't ask him my questions on his pack however as i now know of this. i am making efforts to replace his textures with downsized ones from faithfull venom
and i will be removing the low, medium low, and medium packs from the resource packs folder until i am finished.
Here are some of my favourite mods: Instant Massive Structures, Secret Rooms, MCA, Lucky Blocks, Familiars, Mutant Creatures, Galactic craft, Gulliver, Little Blocks and a lot more. I will try this pack.

Seems like a pleasing mod I'll have to try mod out! I've seen many nice mods therefore I love testing them out. If I see a mod that catches my interest I will test it out ,and give them a review on how it is(: So far nothing bad has come up yet.
Only test out anything that's officially out because I don't want to give a bad review even tho someones mod may be not completely finished
i understand that ... that's why i'm working on it. but there are allot of mods and Technic is the only way my friends can use my pack. this matter is VERY important to me i've DEFINITELY gotten through all of the big mods and the medium importance mods all that's left are the little ones.
I have to agree. If it isn't your pack then I highly suggest it get removed ,and ask permission first before you distribute. You don't want to get in trouble for not asking permission first to distribute just saying..
Yeah my friend I am with DrummingFish on this one Mystcraft is very hard to get permission on it took me over a month to get it on my 1.6.4 pack also portal gun is a no go you want be getting permission for that one , and also don't include Optifine you want get permission for that one either , and for the love of god please do go get permission for all the mods in your pack because by not doing so your just hurting the modding community by making the mod developers have stricter and stricter licensing which in turn hurt the legit mod pack makers that wait ages before uploading a pack due to permissions .
the Pack is now Public Once Again! i will post a video in a few days explaining the changes and what you will need to do in order to bring your version of the pack up to full strength.

However until someone tells me otherwise i believe that the faithful venom resource pack
and the community made bdcraft patches are free to share

The page is still quite unfinished but the minimum necessities are there
please tell me how i'm doing because i couldn't possibly do "all" of this on my own
and i'd love help but i'm not sure the direction of this pack yet
what are some of your ideas?
the reason its 85% is that i started this pack with the intent of making it a small privet pack and that changed over time
i am working on it as fast as i can but i can guarantee that the 1.7.10 version that i am working on will be 100% safe
a good example of this is the camera studio mod that i had added about half a year ago
i found out around two weeks ago that the mod maker didn't want it in there so it was removed immediately
i am continuing this work in parallel with my work on 1.7.10 and will continue to remove ANYTHING that's in my pack that shouldn't be in there.
so it would be very helpful if you or anyone else could point out to me any of the mods that are problems. so that i can remove them
