Hello people if your reading this then you can join my modding team with @Cats_412 and some others who will help later on
Our modding team currently has no name so you can join our team and suggest one
idea assistant - must have at least 50 posts. This person will help with ideas (we would like some of those but not too many maybe 2 others)
Coder - you must show me at least 1 line of gaming code to become one. We don't have many of these so about 2 more would be great
Texturer - you must show me an example texture of a weapon. I am already fairly good at doing most textures so 1-2 more would help.
General helper - helps any way they can to become one you must have at least 100 posts 2 example textures and have some game making experience in a type Of other game maker too (or preferably Java). I am a helper but we can have unlimited
I may be interested, because would like to have a group of people to program mods and discuss programming with, but not going to commit to a definite yes yet since there isn't much detail and, as master801 mentioned, I don't expect much to work out from these group search post, but figured I could give one a shot. I also don't know how much time I would have to dedicate, but right now I have a decent amount of free time. If you would like to discuss this a little more, send me a message here or contact me on skype, metalmark60, to discuss more details about the group.
As far as experience goes, I will admit I am new to modding minecraft, but I am not new to Java, been using it for years, and a good bit of other languages. At the moment for code to show, I have a simple mod that displays a GUI and uses the twitch.tv REST API that I am working on, as well as a few bukkit plugin peices and other general code in Java or other languages. So far the only thing holding me back with minecraft mods is learning what classes and methods I have available. The documentation available through Forge seems to be very nicely commented making it fairly easy to get started with mods though.
