Is there a mod(or a plugin for a server) to raise the max stack size of certain items?
This is to the both of you seeing as SamTeamEnder also seemed to be asking about this indirectly.
This topic is a little funny, and has two sides to it.
Yes, it is possible, however, it is difficult to do and generally leads to more problems than it's worth.
The reason is, the limit is hardcoded in various points in the games code, and there's a lot of them. You can mod in a stack of 999, however the stack will decrease, and any time you try to use the stack, as in pick it up or split it, it goes down to 64 again. This is hardcoded in the game, and cannot be edited easily while maintaining compatibility with Forge and other such mods / MPI's.
