I've often had it that I wish I could grow a proper magic forest in a certain area, not just the 16-or-however-many block area from one single silverwood tree, without having to use an axe to chop down the millions of trees that don't have pure nodes. I used Thaumcraft version 126.96.36.199 and Botania r1.1-83.
Orichalcum Studded Cosmic Neutronium Wand
Wand focus of equal trade
Hoe of growth
Horn of the wild [Botania]
Grass (Stacks of grass - not the blocks, grass)
Silverwood saplings (You're gonna need to plant them everywhere)
Goggles of revealing (Wear them)
Use the hoe of growth on all the planted sapplings. You're gonna cut down the ones that don't have pure nodes.
Taking down a Silverwood tree
This is the best part... Make sure that you have shift-right-clicked grass with the neutronium wand, then right click the leaves in the tree and everything will turn into grass! then you can use the horn of the wild for any remaining grass.
Lastly, give it some time to spread Go to the nether or something. When I came back the water was dark blue!
It's just those little things that make Thaumcraft so awesome

That's it! The answer was so simple, I was too smart to see it!
