I'm updating this with the new version of Witchery; I'll hold of deciding to use an unofficial MineFantasy update (as opposed to the last official version from AnonymousProductions) until a version that doesn't break hounds comes out (and fixing the bench top crash would be really great -- it seems the last version doesn't crash for weapon racks, etc., but still benchtops).

you need to update your front page post. so far there are only 3 pages of comments attached to this but if it gets popular and peeps wanna play minefantasy modpacks those pages will increase, no one will want to navigate 200 plus pages to find out if a question gets answered. i actually had to make an account to make this comment kudos to you because i am always surfing this site and never found a need to make an account before. ok so you advertise on here and on technic that there are certain mods in this pack. so i actually had to download technic which is the third modpack launcher on my computer. had a big blue wrench on my screen forever... that aside even the launcher is missing information about your pack because it says the same thing as your first post.... you need to update technic or just dont use it because if your trying to keep people from changing configs or making changes to your pack you picked a poor way to do it. and lets be honest no one uses technic unless they like tech type packs. no one knows they offer third party packs about everything else possible in minecraft. update your first page because thats what people see and they dont wanna read every lame idea some person has sent you in order to find out if you ever put an updated modlist on there somewhere. you basically are lying in order to get downloads because your so focused on trying to keep minefantasy as the base that your missing the fact that your original sayin of

In case anyone is still watching this thread -- I've been uncomfortable with sharing a name with an unrelated adventure map -- so I've been wanting to think of a new name. The name "World of Antiquity" come to mind. Anyone have any opinions?
EDIT: I may also update (new witchery version, maybe try to better configure to help better integrate the magic mods).
My God. I miss this modpack. It's too bad it seems like it's dying. Also, something might be wrong with the download. Every time I try to download it through Technic, it fails after it completes. When I do it manually and try to open the file, it says "File Invalid". Just letting you know.

I think you did see it before, since your name is familiar -- it use to be called "Forge of the Ancients" but I changed the name because there is an adventure map called "Forge of the Ancients" (that seems to have had a lot of letsplays). As for the file not working, Linux messed me up again; right-clicking and asking to zip actually makes some other kind of file with a zip extention that Window (and probably Technic reguardless) doesn't understand. I have to use special command from the commandline instead, and I tend to forget.
Version that should work are now being uploaded, but it may take about half and hour to do so on my internet. It should be fixed by the time you see this, though.
Actually, a sequel would be more likely than an update, per se -- and would probably have fewer mods. If nofole updates Minefantasy 1 to 1,7.10 I might do it.
I'm doing a minor update with two smallish chages:
Doomlike Dungeons has been updated to the latest version.
Enviromine has been configured not to track air quality, as makes basically all dungeon mods unplayable without very specific enchants (or a whole lot of flowers, maybe, doubt it).
This modpack will probably never update based on MF2 as it would change too much, but there may be sequels. Eruraion is working on his own spin-off / sequel here, while if MF1 is ever updated I may make a version 2 of this (if that ever happens is hard to say).
I just updated this with a newer version of forge to fix a bug where loading worlds (from save or server) was extremely slow (often 10-30 minutes, sometimes ending in a crash). This should not be a problem any more.

After spending way to much time I fixed the formatting error that made the pack unusable. It live again.
There is a new official server for the this modpack -- just set it up, and should run for at least a year if anyone wants to check it out:
