Every time I start playing minecraft with the forge profile it just crashes my game, and I followed everything that everybody said to do, like make copies to use mods, make a different profile with modded java and json programs and copy the mod to it and it brings me to the launcher every time.
I had the same problem, I downloaded 1.6.4 Forge and I found out I needed to play 1.6.4. Also check your version that you download and make sure you played that version before. Example you download 1.6.4 forge so you need to play 1.6.4 Minecraft.

Oh ya, 1.7.2 Forge is not working right now, because it's in the beta stages
