MFR replaces red wire and logic gates. Dartcraft has a scythe-like tool and bags. Modular Powersuits also has tools that can replace the scythe. Thermal expansion can spawn silver. Natura has cotton that can replace flax, and Tinkers construct makes gem tools unnecessary.Applied Energistics does sorting and item-moving better than sorting machines and tubes.
You mentioned Microblocks, I use Immibis for that, they are fantastic.
The only things I haven't found a good replacement for are Deployers and Frames, and deployers can frequently be replaced with other machines, and I believe computercraft turtles can take the place of many frames applications.
Thanks. Natura and tinkers construct both have scythes now. Natura has kama i think made from the nether trees and tinkers construct has scythes made from whatever+ the tool forge.
The mod "Artifice" is pretty much you are looking, it has RedPower world-gens except the ores (Marble&Basalt!) also sickles etc - good mod to check out! Immbis' microblock is awesome too - with just like RP2's RedPower - Many tech mods (Like MFR) Now have RP machines and its very cool to combine all these mods to create good gameplay experience
For the logic, there is immibis's or project red's, for machines i am not sure, for marble and basalt there is Vanity blocks http://www.minecraft.../topic/1631527- And for microblocks again immibis, project red(currently being recoded for forge multipart) and then forge multipart, scythes is tcon
And the marble/basalt replacements are different textures to avoid cultist seizuring
Project Red also does not support 1.5.2, which about 90% of the FTB modpacks use. Are there any RP2 similar mods for lighting? I loved the inverted lamps dearly. Right now I use NumiRP, but the inverted lamps are super dim. I want the model to glow bright (like it does when you start hitting it).

Well if you want a red power replacement, you can't play 1.5.2, simple enough

Artifice
i think the forum thread is pretty new so that may be why you couldn't find it.

I checked out redstone in motion and it works very well.
It isn't just a rp2 clone and adds new functions as well as some cc compatibility.
immimbis microblocks.
Not just Immibis Microblocks, but ChickenBones has made an API called "Forge Multipart".

I Need THEM! ( 1.5.2 ). So pliz.... that's the only thing really missing...
I am a prehistoric histories and manga / anime fan.
Project Red has those.
The only thing I think is missing is the pneumatic tubes...I loved those...
A very fun and moddable open world sandbox. You can find it at the developers' store here.
