g'Dayo. I had this idea while killing squid for ink sacs.
Perhaps an effect_hopper. Adding a hopper to either your tool or your weapon will give it the effect of pulling items in immediately when they drop. Killing mobs will immediately pull the drops into your inventory (assuming slots available) rather than first dropping them onto the floor/ground.
For tools, this could be useful for such things as precariously-placed ores (like diamonds over lava), or perhaps the tediousness of glowstone gathering if you haven't been able to get ahold of a silky gem. Lumber axes taking down large trees immediately pulling the logs into the inventory instead of waiting for the leaves to decay to drop your logs. Scythes immediately pulling in drops from leaves or grass.
When added to a bow or arrow (should it even extend to this), allows for the collection of drops from afar. For instance, killing ghasts and getting their tears regardless of whether or not they're above lava. At the cost of your arrows, of course. Perhaps a bit OP in that sense (maybe configurable, should it be added).
And if you'd want to take it further, maybe adding another hopper will immediately pull in EXP (at the cost of a second modifier).
Suggestion: the ability to melt down silver, gold, diamonds and emeralds into tool parts. You know, for decorative tools. They can have less durability than other tools... or not.
It just seems unfair to have five stacks of silver ingots sitting around... I want to show them off!
Plus, these metals are the only ones that can't be made into tools right now. I think they should be included for more middle-game, less infrastructure materials. They're rather easier to make than Manyullyn, and less hard-to-find than Cobalt and Ardite.
#1 - I'm not sure if this is a problem/suggestion (it's a mix of both) but I think there should be an option in the config to turn of the FOV change when you put on the Exo-Armor, cuz I hate it when I'm exploring and I constantly have to remove my armour. The FOV looks like what you get with Speed II potions.
#2 - Exo-Armor needs to be able to be enchanted.
#3 - Bug::If you have 2 pieces of Exo-Armor on it doesn't modify the speed of the player cumulatively, just applies one armor pieces-worth of speed
i.e having the goggles on, your walking speed is the same if you have a complete set of exo-armor
Searching the thread, I see a number of people have suggested silver as a tool material, but I don't think my own reason for wanting to see it has been mentioned: Killing endermen. In Direwolf20's new pack, Red Power has been replaced by Project Red, which lacks RP's athame (a dagger crafted from one stick and one silver ingot, which had low durability and damage but completely wrecked endermen). Off the top of my head, I'd say it should have a low base damage, durability, handle modifier and mining level, but have a property which multiplies damage against endermen, even if only when used for the head or blade.

There was at one point, but it got shoved out of the way to make armor to put the focus on armor. Hopefully it'll be made after armor is done. Shears, fishing rods, and hoes!
We technically already have hoes, I forget the name of the tool, it's been a few weeks since I have messed with modded mc, but there is a hoe alternative in there.

Well, yeah, the mattock can be used as a hoe by right-clicking, in addition to being a hatchet/shovel. But I'd prefer that there was also a regular hoe tool.
Armour with optional addons just like tools, but for defense or other purposes. Ex: you can now make some sort of ice crystal. Adding this to boots makes it so walking on water freezes it.
You could make a "armor station" like the tool station just making armor. And make it able to modify the armor like the tool/weapons. To make a chestplate could be using parts like "shoulder gards" and "chest plate". And make heavy armored armor using "large chest plate". And when u put the heavy armor on u get slower. U can maybe make some other type of armores. Like an armor thats protects u more by hammers/ axes/longswords or something else. Some modifyers u can make and put on the armores can be like: stuffed wool, spikes, plates ( more protection). Maybe make a "steel plate" modifyer. The stuffed wool can make u refill ur health faster. U can maybe make a mod on a tool/ armor using glowstone. The tool/armor glows in the dark. If it is possible to make a mod u can put on armores that makes u a little blurry or half invis (harder to see you). Maybe make it able to put a standard potion on ur armor using a netherstar + a potion. Make some fancy tex on the armores and the modifyers. Maybe make a "food bag" that u can put any food and by pressing any button u automaticly eat it. I hope u see this and i maybe find some other cool stuff to add to the "Worlds best minecraft mod!!!" Btw i make mods to ;D
I dont know if this is the right place or if this should go in the bugs postings, but the way that the items on the drying rack are allways on the north or west sides of the block bothers me. could it get fixed?
I'd like to throw in my support for enhancements and modifiers to go on the bow itself as well, for the primary reason being that Tinker's tools are in investment in resources. Putting all the key modifiers on parts that are going to get lost is like throwing materials into lava. Literally, if you take your bow to the nether. I'm willing to put gold, diamonds, and all the quartz I can shove onto a bow I know I can keep on me, barring doing something stupid enough to lead to my death. I'm not willing to put all those resources onto arrows that will become lost/burned/otherwise destroyed in the normal course of play.
I can see four possibilities to turn this problem into a solution:
One is to simply make sure that the bow modifiers transfer to the arrows instead of punching with the bow.
Two is to make a quiver that bestows its modifiers onto the arrows within it.
Three is add an infinite arrows modifier to the bow.
Four is to make a special modifier just for arrows that returns them 15 seconds after they are shot, no matter where they land, be it lava, enemy, or landscape. An ender pearl and a diamond seem to be a fair price for a modifier this potent, and the 15 second timer highly encourages players to keep more than one arrow on them at a time.
For armor modifications, I would like to see iron or steel plates being the basis or the higher armor or reinforcement modifiers instead of lapis, as I've seen suggested. You already chew through enough lapis just getting fortune on your existing tools, and iron/steel plating for better protection makes more sense. Perhaps adding lava crystals makes enemies that get in touch range catch on fire for one second (stacking modifier) as well.
And maybe an automatic health potion attachment for gloves that holds one health potion at a time and uses it when you reach three hearts. Additional potions can be slotted in from the armor interface in inventory.
And finally, kudos to the mod team, Tinker's Construct is a very worthwhile mod that puts real deliberation, thought and planning back into tool crafting.

One biggest issue for me is when using the "lvl 2" tools that mine in a 3x3 area is where the 3x3 selection takes place. I understand it is based on what side you click (and maybe how you are looking at the block?) but I feel a new feature would help out. When you hover over a block in the world, a small black outline is seen.
Suggestion: Is it possible to maybe... Extend that black outline to the 3x3 area when you hold said lvl 2 tools?
Make an armor station types of armor:
Spiked armor, scale armor, plated mail armor, laminar armor, samurai armor, heavy armor, heavy plated armor.
The point of the armores is more protection able to use iron to make a better armor than normal diamond armor. Another point is that u can choose an modifier instead hoping getting a good enchantment. U can maybe make a modifyer that make less falling damage. List of modifyers: spikes (any kind of material for cool texture, like gold spikes) redstone (running faster) glowstone (makes the armor glow in the dark) plates (any kind of plates but adds different textues and protection. Iron has less protection as steel) slime balls (makes u jump higher) stuffed wool ( refills health faster.6
It wouød be cool if u make armores like in the middle ages. Like plated mail armor. Maybe u can modify an heavy armor makes it able to craft without a workbench. Make an modifyer that freezes water when u walk on it. And maybe make a modifyer to the armor makes lava to obsdian when u walk on it using a water crystal.
A Boomerang enhancement which could be applied to both daggers and bows, which would make the daggers come back, and pull arrows you missed with back into your inventory.
A IC2 modifier which makes the tool electric powered, the moss stone effect would become null, leaving its slot open. maybe you could add a solar panel or something to regen electricity?
Thank you to anyone who read this.

Thank you to anyone who read this and actually cared about anything I had to say, it means a lot.
A tool, that it decently exspensive that is good for everything (except fighting) You'd Need a Pick Head, Axe Head, Shovel Head, Tool Rod,
and a binding. (sorry about the order )
Yeah or dagger with ropes that you can climb.....
The mod Mekanism has the Pickaxe/shovel/axe combo things and they're called paxels.
As my suggestion I would very much appreciate a separate craftable book that tells you the hierarchy of materials, like in vanilla wood<stone<iron<diamond, it would be a book describing what is better than what with Tinker's Construct materials.
Im playing on a Tinkers Construct server. Everyone go around and kill each others with OP arrows that does 50+ damage. A glitch is that u press "O" and only equip diamond chestplates. Thats OP..... U can fight against withers without loosing health. Even a 40+ damage longsword would not even loose health. Now the server banned arrows. Then everyone make cleavers and rapiers..... Now its banned too........ Now the weapons thats left take less damage. And i made a longsword that took 40+ and now quartz is banned..... If they ban t con everyone on the server is going to quit. And its a PvP server :/ plz fix the armor glitch and make anti OP armores. It would be cool if u made dragons. Fire and water dragons. I know this is not an "More creatures mod" but the dragon could drop scales. Maybe make modifyers to the helmet so u can breath in water longer. This is a genius mod but its limited tools and weapons. If i have all OP stuff its getting boring. I take 6 hits on a wither and get a nether star again..... Maybe make more bosses like using blaze heads and obsidian and spawn a dragon. Or mega pigs.... If ur OP u maybe care about style... U make a huge castle and people start calling u sir. I would make fancy armor and be a boss and killing the pvp bosses with style.Rainbow ingots is all i have to say..........I love skyrim and it would be cool if u could make 2 handed swords but i know its unpossible. It would be cool if u started making rings. Maybe a ring able to turn urself to a wolf? Idk. I guess thats impossible too. Im dreaming to much xD
The 3 things people use in battle is swords, armor and shields. If u make the armores maybe make "sets" that fits together like a mail armor is best with a longsword. Maybe make shields to. A got an idea with a bow modifyer. U can add a scope. Makes u able to shot an longer distances. Another modifyer to a bow could make the bow shot more arrows. Maybe make an apple block and use it as target? Or something else ams target? But rings that adds more strenght or resistance. Maybe make a tool nabe to take meat from pigs without killing them.

How are you even getting that high a damage multiplier on a longsword? I'm really curious, considering that the damage, even with all paper and a thaumium blade with the diamond/gold block and nether star modifiers, the damage caps out at 11.5 hearts, or 23 points, of damage. Unless you have some mod that modifies the base damage that all weapons do, there's no way you are getting a longsword that does 40 damage. If you do have a mod that sticks its fingers into damage values like that, I'd get rid of that mod before I'd get rid of Tinker's Construct. I'm also not able to reproduce the diamond chest armor bug you said you had. Look into the modpack and check for any that alter the base weapon damage and armor values before you go around calling other mods overpowered.
And as far as the pigs thing goes, butchering an animal for meat doesn't work like that. Muscle, the meat of the animal, does not and will not regrow itself. What you're asking for is to chop a leg off a pig and be able to come back later for another leg.
On the plus side, the mods Dragon Mounts and the Shur'Tugal mod do add dragons you can tame, ride and fight beside to Minecraft, since you seem to be wanting a mod that does that.
Probably already sugested, but glass as material maybe? Highest damage but very low durability and mining level?
But what I would like to see is colored clay as material.
The same properties as stone, BUT you can colour your tool any way you want with it RAINBOW TOOLS CMON
It would overwrite any cosmetic effects of the modifiers you put on it...
I second that!

You must first learn the rules before you break them.
