got a question. Has anyone figured out how to make Equivalent Exchange 2 run on Minecraft 1.5.2 (or higher)? I ask because I love EE2, which supposedly only runs on some older version of Minecraft, but I am also currently running some other mods that only play on 1.5.2. I know EE3 will run on 1.5.2, but I hate EE3.
Anyhow, if anyone has any ideas or proven approaches, I'd be most grateful!
EE3, Is under ALOT of construction but for now theres EE2 is only for 1.2.5. If you REALLY need EE2 go on Tekkit or Technic although I much prefer Feed the Beast
Minecraft 1.3 brought some extremely major changes to the game that pretty much required mod authors to rewrite a lot of their code. The guy making EE2 decided to just scrap it to work on EE3, since there were some glaring balance issues he wanted to get rid of and things he wanted to change anyway

Actually, Xen0phobe, the author of EE2 trashed it and started working on Xeno's Reliquary. The mod author of EE3 is currently Pahimar.

I know what happened with Xen0phobe and EE2, he stopped developing it and then Pahimar continued development on it for a while before 1.3 came out and he decided to scrap it and rebuild it, it just wasn't relevant to the topic, which was that EE2's dead and won't be updated past 1.2.5
Because you need the sources, the permission to do so, the time to do it and even the interest to update a total overpowered mod...
btw, it would most likely be not just an easy update, more like the scale of a total rewrite because of all the changes in minecraft and forge since 1.2.5...

EE2 is OP anyway, it completely invalidates 90% of content added by all other mods.

A message to all of you guys who think that you need permission. I was on the EE3 page and xeno was there talking to people. He said that the EE2 mod was dead, but if anyone wanted, they can try and remake it. He said that the source code was gone but other people could work on an update if they wanted

EE2 is also in a Retro Pack for FTB.

It's impossible. Only Pahimar and Xenophobe have the source, and Pahimar can't update it without Xenophobe's permission.
Besides, porting EE2 to later versions would only slow down development of EE3 even more.

Both xeno and pahimar have stated the mod was too overpowered and not want it updated.
The creator of FTB didn't know what Tekkit was before he made the pack. He said so himself.
