I have looked almost everywhere trying to find a place where I can get Equivalent Exchange 2 for Minecraft 1.4.6/1.4.7. I have found nothing, except a very bad headache. So, I come here to ask if anyone might know where I can download Equivalent Exchange 2 for Minecraft 1.4.6/1.4.7.
Does anyone know where I can find it? Also, please feel free to try to publicize the download location, so more people don't have to get headaches over trying to find EE2 in hundreds of spam pages of "AMG AWESOME EE2 SERVER MC 0.0.3", "EE2 for Minecraft 1.2.5", "Tekkit cracked launcher free download", and the like.
Thank you.
NO!! EE2 has been rewritten in to EE3. Difference is no Destruction Catalyst/Catalytic Lens, no red matter, no swift wolfs rending gale(is being relplaced with something else), no condensers, no relay, no collectors, much more changes.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO Equivalent exchange 3 ruins everything I love about equivalent exchange 2. We need to get the dev to change this.
Fool; EE was never meant to be mixed with mods. So, when it was in first Technic then FTB, it was OP. So, the modder decided to finally make EE more compatible with mods while keeping it worthwhile for pure EE playthroughs. So, the OP power flowers, destruction tools and armor are thrown out. Though, I think the RM+ armor should remain for mods since EE usually gets mixed with IC2 and now Powersuits, which both have the OP power armor known as Powersuits (mod it to be powerful) and Quantum.

Personally, I'd just like something that can let me take items I have a surplus of, and convert them to something I actually need, even if it means I end up with items of less value than the total I put in. Anyone have such a suggestion?
I believe I have a solution for you. Both Thaumic Tinkerer and Ars Magica allow you to break down items and reconstruct them into useful materials. The process is a bit more involved than barfing stuff into a chest, but I find it much more enjoyable.

NO ONE WANTS NO CONDENSERS OR NO RED MATTER BECAUSE THEY WERE AWESOME
NO ONE WANTS NO CONDENSERS OR NO RED MATTER BECAUSE THEY WERE AWESOME
hes right, ee2 is a really good mod and condensers and red matter and dark matter and rings and energy collectors and antimatter relays and other stuff and the transmutation tablet are AWESOME!!!!!

Well, thats why people want EE2. We like completely overpowered stuff.
While I would like EE2 to be for the later versions of Minecraft and used in mod packs, I see the point in how broken the EMC values were in using mod packs.
I even laugh at ideas of using EE2's Energy Condenser in mod packs that have Thermal Expansion with it, seeing as you can make an ACTUAL Infinite Lava Power Supply, not the transport Lava from the Nether Lava Supply.
EMC value of Cobblestone or (Smooth)Stone is 1....which is also the same value of Netherrack, which in Thermal Expansion is the best way of making Lava in the Magma Crucible to get more power. If you also have the Ingenous Extruder(also in Thermal Expansion) set to Cobblestone with a bucket's worth of Lava and Water, limitless Cobblestone for free that's turned to Netherrack then turned to Lava for power.
And that's just the beginning.
Yeah simply put, EE2 wasn't fit for mod packs that would enable fairness. In fact it's only made worse if you realize if Tinker's Construct was also with EE2, pretty much limitless metal for Smeltery and you could get a LOT of Smelteries.
I agree with you. I recently created my own modded minecraft for 1.4.6 since redpower hasn't been updated and it was essential. I was disappointed when I installed EE3 and noticed that the relays, rings, tools, red matter, dark matter etc were removed. I removed EE3 from my mods folder since there was pretty much no point. Even though it is over powered, I like getting things in a legit manner which makes the game way more fun and challenging.

The mod is being rewritten from the ground up. EMC is going to operate COMPLETELY differently from the way it did in previous EE releases (now item's and block's are allocated dynamic EMC amounts based on their recipes, and a few other changes such as layered EMC types (high tier, mid tier, low tier) IIRC and more, this new system is called DynEMC, short for Dynamic EMC, in short, bye bye manual setting of EMC values!), EMC will be generated differently, and the mod generally is going towards a different direction. Pahimar has said that he doesn't like the OP-ness of former EE releases, but he does want to keep the community happy, so some things like the condensers may be reimplemented using a different system.
In short, don't just start yelling at something because it's missing features of previous versions, when the new version literally only started being developed. Have patience.

I just don't understand why he gave us an unfinished mod that barely has anything and half the items uncraftable, instead of updating EE2 to the more recent versions until EE3 is done. It's really disappointing.

As I said, he didn't feel right updating EE2, it wasn't his mod, he just released it, he didn't work on it. He mainly released EE3 this early into development because people kept bugging him, so to satisfy everyone he released it unfinished.
