Whenever i try to open minecraft on the forge profile in the launcher at the bottom of the mumbo jumbo when it loads it says "Job 'Versions & Libraries' finished with 2 failures !" Please help
Make sure you let forge download its files and make sure you have a newer version of Forge installer
I did that but they are still there and running. I even went in the config folder and deleted the ones i didnt want. Help!!!
If you are using the default 1.6.2 launcher, all you have to do is select or create another profile. Or, you can delete your Forge profile by going to the "versions" folder in your .minecraft and deleting every folder in there that has the word "Forge" in it.
If you are not using that launcher, I have no idea what to do.

Im using magic launcher. When I am within the game and click the mods button on the home menu it takes me to a place where i can disable the different mods i have however when i try to disable it wont work. How do I get it to work?
Save your worlds to your desktop then delete your .minecraft - then reinstall it, Forge and your mods. Don't forget to put your worlds back into your saves folder. (This was in response to Christian_Lane_7)

Yea this is what I'm looking for cause I use a mod on a server but don't want to use it on single player but don't want to remove the mod every time I to to single player and when it loads up with the mods it says I have ( for example ) I have 44 mods loaded and 44 mods active is there a way to deactivate ones you don't want to use and reactive them when you do
How the heck do you disable the Pixelmon mod so you can use the Furniture Mod???
What furniture mod? You can simply remove the Pixelmon mod from your mods folder. And I'm having a problem where I cant disable nor enable mods in the mods bit within Minecraft running Forge.

I have both fossil and archeology mod and Pixelmon mod installed, and I want to disable Pixelmon TEMPORARILY. Is there any way I can do this without risks or having to instal again?

AFAIK that feature within Forge / FML is not yet fully implemented, and only certain mods can be disabled (there's a setting within FML a mod can enable to allow disabling of the mod). I don't think any mods support this yet.

Okay, so im trying to get rid of certain parts of the mod "DynamicLights". The instructions tell me to go to the mod .jar /atomicstryker/dynamiclights/client/modules folder. But I cannot find it. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!? I would greatly appreciate it!
hi i downloaded the animal bikes mod recently and was really happy. after successfully downloading animal bikes, i tried downloading other mods. none of the mods showed up on the mod list except for animal bikes. after that i thought the problem was with the mod and tried disabling it, however it wouldn't let me try to disable it or config it. here is a picture. Can someone help me figure out why my mine craft is doing this and how to fix it?
For the Love of God. Make you lives easier buy downloading the Curse Voice launcher. Install the MC plugin. It is so easy to make a custom mod pack. If you need a tutorial on doing this I would suggest a look on youtube at Direwolf20 review. Shows how easy it is to do. I use it every day. You can enable/disable mods with one click in your mods list and it will let you know when a mod is updated in the same list and update that mod with one click.
Plus there are resource packs that install to the game with one click. Super easy and quick to see what mods play good together.
And if there is not a mod on the curse voice there is a tab to open the mod pack folder to drag and drop the .jar file to the mods folder. I do this with Shaders mod on every pack I make. and even on some of the pre-made mod packs.

This is honestly the best way to add and remove mods on the fly and by far the easiest launcher I have ever used. If you dont want to go the curse route then use MultiMC create and instance and then when you want to disable a mod just edit the instance and uncheck the mod you want to disable.
Otherwise a more manual way to disable mods I sometimes do while testing things is in your mod folder you don't have to remove the jar just rename it to " .disable" at the end and forge will ignore it totally a window will pop up asking if your sure you want to rename it hit yes. When you want to re enable it just remove the ".disable".
So your file will look like this when enabled: supercoolmod1.jar
and like this when disabled : supercoolmod1.jar.disable
