So I was looking around (google) for a release of RP2 for 1.4.2. I didn't really find anything from minecraft forum or his website, but I did find this: http://minecraftgood.com/redpower-2-mod/ and I didn't know if the download was shady or not. I wanted to know if Eloraam has actually released RP2 for 1.4.2 and if there is an actual release, where to find it.

I don't know if its shady or not, but I can tell you that it won't work in 1.4.2. RP doesn't use mod loader or mod loader mp anymore. RP hasn't been updated as far as I know.

It's no good, it's just the RP2 core files. No machines, etc

The golden waterproof pipes are from buildcraft, here is a site with a list of everything in the mod currently http://nemesis.evalq.net/RedPower2/recipes.html. And you can watch direwolf20 to see all the new things they have added.

Redpower's in closed alpha.

Just like most of the technical mods aside from IC2 and Railcraft.

Just to clarify and sum up information, Redpower 2 is not available to anyone in the public. That website is full of it. The picture is from the Forgecraft server, which was formerly called Pahicraft, and it is for mod devs to test their mods. It is a picture of a Railcraft boiler outputting steam through golden waterproof pipes (from Buildcraft) and putting it in steam engines. There is indeed a redpower machine and a pipe feeding the bottom of the machine, but it is nothing new, and it is a redpower beta, on Forgecraft. There is also marble brick on the ceiling, again from a RP beta, also on Forgecraft. As for the release date of Redpower, Eloraam's website (I believe) says "Redpower will be ready when it's ready." If you would like to see more redpower, go to Direwolf20's youtube channel (it's his server play), Mattabase's Twitch channel, Slowpoke101's Twitch channel, or Soaryn's twitch channel.

The picture everyone is talking about is from direwolf 20 's server play season 3... the setup is the exact same and steam is implemented in 1.4.2 but buidcraft hasnt come out for 1.4.2 but direwolf 20 plays with the mod developers and plays with beta's abd pre releases so therefor this is a picture from the forgecraft server they are all playing on

Redpower 2 6a is being played on forgecraft

There are ways to get the mods, i have buildcraft, industrialcraft, and forestry but not redpower on my 1.4.2 server.

According to slowpoke, the creator of the FTB modpack, Redpower will be release, at least as part of the modpack, sometime during the week of November 12, 2012
