I know there is already a custom record mod, but I have a better idea than how that was done. The one I saw is very limited, allowing up to 11 tracks. But like I said, I have a better idea of how to do it.
My idea is similar to the Tomes mode in that you would create a new custom record object. Each custom record has the same icon just as all tomes have the same icon in the Tomes mod, but you can tell them apart by the title. So each custom record has a title obviously.
Then all you need is a text file in the minecraft folder where you define all the custom records you want. Each record is defined with two values in the file: the title of the record, and then the file to play when the player puts that record into a jukebox.
I do not have the knowledge to make a mod so I thought I'd just throw this idea out there and if anyone who does have modding knowledge likes the idea, they can do something with it
