Being one of the main block/item texturers for Evil Minecraft, I can tell you a bit about the mod before it is released. Most of which, isn't released to the public yet... but, what would you like to know? Ask me anything about features and blocks or items that have been added. I'll just hope Miclee doesn't see this himself. ;3
I know there's a plethora of new weapons, presumably in some new generator (I remember them being worked on a month or several ago) and my question would be, can they be enchanted, and do they/could they possibly, and perhaps rarely, carry random enchantments along with whatever bonuses they get?
At the moment, VERY MUCH NO. I'm not sure if an SMP version is *ever* planned, but at the moment, there's just way too much stuff to do for the base mod first. There's still three dozen mobs that don't even have models yet, not to mention [CLASSIFIED] and [DATA EXPUNGED] and lava-rain in the Nether.
That last bit's a lie, WorldProviderHell.class is hardcoded against weather effects.

This being a modding question, I asked the modding team. They replied with the following:
-----
"We don't know yet as we havent even been able to start on the prefixed weapon system."
-----
That means that while the prefix codes and stuff are made, we haven't been able to implement it yet. As Wacko said, we are all busy with textures and modeling and coding, especially now with the Ten day limit on our heads.

Unfortunately, as RicksterCraft said, we haven't yet implemented that system into the game. We planned it before Mojang added enchantments, which made us re-evaluate that entire system and we're still looking into the best/most efficient way of going around to adding it.

What's being made NOW? Well, that's a funny question. You'll see in time.

You could add a bunch of new enchantments and then make enchantments a possible variable, so it would be one thats not guarenteed.

Yeah, I can understand that. Sounds like y'all have a busy 10 days then... I don't think anyone will be crying or hating, however, if you don't manage to implement everything within the 10 days you planned to... sounds like there's going to be a lot of stuff to do nevertheless.

Yeah, it seems like everything you release, they turn around and add whatever you were adding. You should make some underwater content ;D

Not a bad idea, actually. Underwater ruins? Or better yet, ruined modern-looking underwater bases complete with partially-broken glass domes? Maybe... Definitely not this release though, we're kind of in "do as many of the currently-listed features as we can before the 14th" mode. Maybe after that...
Heck, I think I might take the time to poke around that part of the code just to learn how to generate underwater structures... not till later, of course.

Can't wait!
THAT LOUSY, GOOD-FOR-NOTHING DRAGON EGG OF YOURS.
Yes, but we aren't ENTIRELY finished. That is why it is the 14th.

WHAT?!
Danger zone.

My idea would probably be to add new enchantments specific to the mod, then have special enchantments you can only get through finding a rare item.
