I am not sure, the modder said it was done. He was just working out a small spawning problem.
Which ever is easier for you to do. I may be better to have modloader, but for starters you don't have to.

I knew that was already made. Mine is quite different from theirs.
you should make it so you can milk the goats and if the goats die they drop horns that you can enchant and then whenever you blow the horn you can summon an army of 5 goats!!!
but, as said in a previous post, a goat mod does have limits...
