17 is still a child. You need to be 18 by most of the countries to be an adult. Some countries 19 or 20 but I never heard of a country were you are an adult in the age of 17.
I didnt say i was an adult. i just said im not a little child.
I cant tell you what a douchebag is, Because im just a little kid, like 6 years old. and theres no way that im 17. ohh wait...yes i am, and secondly= read the sub title under the topic title
Mods 90% of the time are just a bunch of lame new ore sets or over powered new items made to make the game easier because they almost always won't add any new challenges to the game, just another item to fetch for. There seriously needs to be more mob mods as what we have just isn't enough. I mean, you see ore mods all the time, but when it comes to anything new danger-wise, you will find almost nothing.
Although it could just be that ores are easy to make, which make me wonder why people don't make a hazard block which is generated like an ore in deeper caves to make things a bit more dangerous or something like that.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
One day, there will be someone who looks at my signature and wonders "who gives a damn?"
Even tho I LOVE mods, I understand you, I like flan mod, rival rebels, and stuff like that but I HATE cheats. Flans mod and rival rebels adds something that you can reach out and try something, but mods like M&B battle gear 2 I don't even youse in survival, so i under stand you
My Point of view: yes there are not as many DANGER mods out there, and there are some cheaty mods out there such as auto
structures and stuff, and in tekkit there are the swords, and nano sabers (IC2) and and the 2 very powerful weapons (That Magical Mod) (forgot name).
Although, they take a crap tone of materials to make such as Red Matter and Dark Matter.
I played Vanilla until I realized that I would have liked something extra to make the game more fun. And now I can arrange the house any way I want with mods like Chisel and Carpenter's Blocks, make furniture for my homes with Furniture mods, I can have more fun mining with Metallurgy, have more fun exploring with Biomes o Plenty, and interact in more interesting ways with villagers with Millenaire.
These mods are awesome and a lot of fun, and I want to thank all the modders for their hard work to provide us with these amazing mods for free!
So, are you guys seriously gonna insult the awesome hard work of so many modders? If you don't like mods, don't play the game with them. Its simple, no one is forcing you to install the mods. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but if you don't have anything nice to say, better say nothing at all.
Instead of supporting a thread like this, why don't you open a thread to show the appreciation for the work that the modders do for us instead? And support that.
I used to hate mods myself for all of these exact reasons after seeing what invedit and too many items could do back in beta 1.6.6 and what single player commands could do to make the ultimate hack in your world. Later on in 1.4.7 i tried nodus but i just left the hack when i moved onto 1.5. I used to see exactly what Choco6o666 is seeing about mods but since then i changed. I agree a lot of mods simply make your game easier (which is known to the community as unbalanced mods) but some mods change the minecraft feeling in a balanced way such as thaumcraft, ars magica, aether and divine rpg whereas some other mods like EE2 (equivalent exchange) can allow you to change things into something else in an unbalanced way (eg: you could have maybe 20 or so wood and turn that into something like obsidian). From what i see not all mods are bad just as you said but some make the game too easy.
A lot of my friends have quit minecraft within the first 5 months of playing because they never tried a single mod because they thought that mods are horrible. I played minecraft without a single mod from beta 1.6.6 all the way to minecraft 1.2.5 but at that time i thought that i needed a change of scenery in my minecraft worlds so i installed mods to keep me busy. I would've quit minecraft all the way back in 1.3.2 if i never discovered mods.
You're simply a moron, default minecraft is scrub easy and there are tons of mods that makes the game harder. There is also a ton of mods that improve gameplay in so many different ways, examples:
-Minefantasy (Surviva made harder)
-Terrafirmacraft (Survival made harder)
-Thaumcraft
-IC2
-Redpower
-ATG (Alternate Terrain Generation, great mod)
-Growthcraft (Adds brewing, and wine / hops farming)
-Animated player mod (Improves player animations)
-Custom Ore Gen (Makes the game harder)
-Mutant Creatures (Really well made boss-like mobs)
After 30 seconds I managed to list up these great mods, so please shut your breadlocker.

Simply the truth in a nutshell.
Not all mods make the game easier, I will admit that most mods out there on the forums are mostly just ore sets, but those usually drown because of all the other mods getting more attention. Thaumcraft, Ars Magica, Lycanite's mobs, Mine & Blade 2, Aquaculture, Bibliocraft, Natura, Blood Magic, Carpenter's Blocks all expand on gameplay, and not adding overpowered items. I could continue on and on, but the list would be very very long. Emphasis on the very.
P.S. If you want to complain about something, please do spell check. It gives a really bad first impression on others, especially when you're saying something 'sucks'.
I must say I really dislike NEI, you can do recipe mode, alright. But actually it's only 1 click away from cheating..
However I'm fine with Craft Guide.
Just because you can cheat, doesn't mean you should.
Personally I agree that there are too many mods that introduce god-tier weapons (and invincible armour which is even worse) without making the game any harder. Some argue that it makes it easier to make huge structures and teraform stuff, but if you like building you can just switch to creative mode, that's what it's for.
On the other hand there are some preatty cool mods (unfortunately a minority) that expand on the game in a diferent direction instead of just introducing "like diamonds except stronger".
Some of my favorites are:
MAtmos - Generates music based on your suroundings, really enjoyable without affecting gameplay
Presence footsteps - A mod that makes footstep-sounds diferrent depending what you walk on (even diferent sides of a piston or a block under railway tracks)
Damage indicators - It's really nice to know how much health something has (besides bosses) and how much you deal
Animated player - it's kinda useless if you play in 1st person, but the your characters and other players if in multiplayer move much more fluently Buildcraft - quaries and macerators are OP but personaly I just use it for the pipes (or you can just make a system out of hoppers, but pipes just look cooler with items flowing around)
Dimensional doors - one of my favorite mods, it creates empty rooms inside doors, doors that link 2 places, dungeons in other dimensions and it's recepies are not too easy (exept some dungeons have too much loot, it's a WIP)
Dynamic lights - It makes torches/glowstone/etc in your hand or in item form on the floor and burning mobs emit light (but I can't get it to work for some reason
Thaumcraft 3 and Thaumic thinkerer - The first one is a really fun mod to play with an the other one it's expansion pack, they are a really big mod that adds LOTS of new magic-related stuff to minecraft, but if you don't use it it won't affect your gameplay (outside of an occasional angry zombie) if you are willing to spend lots of time and resources on it it can give you slightly stonger tools and magic weapons, slightly better furnaces but using them too much can spawn some monsters nearby and over time deplete magic around you forcing you to move your base
Stalker creepers - a really simple mod that changes creeper behaviour, instead of blowing up when they get near you, they try to follow you and hide behind your back, but blow up if you turn around. It can make your explorations a bit more interesting, because you risk bringing a creeper into your house if you don't check behind you often. On the other hand if you play in 3rd person you can usually see them comming (it's just as freaky though).
Maybe. Or maybe the forum should make it a little more visible and not light light grey on light light blue
I didnt say i was an adult. i just said im not a little child.
Ask your mum then :biggrin.gif:

i prefer plain MC right now. idk why ppl loves IC, buildcraft, computercraft so much, its like "not fit" in minecraft IMO.
I put the rival in the rival rebels mod :D.
Agreed. I have about 6 or so profiles in MC, all with different mods on 'em.

You may not
It's the same basically everyone has different beliefs on what is what.
So do not rage at anyone for there opinion.

And also vanilla minecraft is way too easy.
