Ok, well i have Industrial craft working, so does anybody have it working alongside Finite Liquid or Better than Wolves? I know BTW is incompatible with Finite Liquid but im trying to get one of the two to work alongside industrial craft but all i get is the black screen after logging in. I use risagumis modloader and flans unofficial sdk smp loader, newest ones, Optiomine+optifog, PReader 1.4, ore redistribution mod, and Industrial craft, and like i said im trying to get EITHER BTW or finite liquid to work alongside it. Any tips? Anybody got it working? anything?
You use a lot of mods. If any of the mods are incompatible with any others, nothing will work. An easy way to test for compatibility is to place all modded files in a single folder before placing them in minecraft.jar. If there are any duplicate files, the mods containing those files are incompatible. If they are incompatible, there's no way to use both. You either have to get rid of a mod or have multiple modded .jar files.
it says no more empty terrain sprite indices left, what does that mean?
It means exactly what it sounds. Minecraft has VERY limited space for new item sprites, and if you add more then the limit it causes it to crash. One way around this is to install Minecraft Extended, but it's really incompatible with stuff and has a nasty bug that prevents you from going to the Nether. But if you play with it a bit, you might be able to get it working.
I know that both Industrial Craft and Better than wolves overwrite the world class (fd.class). However, I don't think IC is able to function that well without it's version, while BTW can still work without it.
Too many textures - too many mods. In the future, that may be addressed. For now, you'll have to go without some mods (that add blocks and items), or look into MC Extended.

or just know how to append modded minecraft files :tongue.gif:
if the mod has a properties file for block/item id's, check those as well. There may be some overlap. However, better than wolves is extremely incompatible with a great number of mods, due to the fact that he/they doesn't/don't really bother with avoiding editing the base files, rather than taking a path AROUND the base files (at least to some degree). As for finite liquid, that mod has to make just about every change to the base files that it does, given that its main purpose is to replace the in game liquids. As for industrialcraft, that mod has a LOT of stuff in it. I wouldn't be surprised if they ran out of sprite indexes (meaning it's basically incompatible with anything that adds any items or blocks, regardless of ID conflicts). And while checking to see if two files among the two mods have the same name does help to find incompatibilities, if you've run industrialcraft and either of the other two mods together, and it didn't work, and it -wasn't- a block/item ID conflict, unless you can mod, and can fuss around with their code til you get some abomination of mods all poorly sewn together into one setup, give or take a few amputations, they're incompatible. Period.
