I dunno, I have a lot of stuff to do. And I am planning to send out beta testing randomly to anyone who posts on this thread. No, posting a lot of times will not increase chances. Ummm, i dunno about fluid movement, I might have to look at the piston mod for that. Its going to be jumpy, unless I can figure out how to do it otherwise.
I'm not a pro at JAVA, but I do know a thing or two
If you want fluid motion, you could code the controller block so that it is a mob that spawns when the item is right clocked, rather than a block. This mob would not despawn, nor would it move unless controlled.
After that, you could code X number of entity types that look and behave just like the blocks, but move with the same speed and direction as their congruent entities.
By right clicking a block against the controller block, it's corresponding entity "block" would appear adjacent to it.
Anyway, I already build a small scouting vehicle with all the essentials in it. All it now needs is the actual controller block!

by mob do you mean entity?
it could be an entity, but if it was a mob, alot of code could be recycled from other mods
the pteradactle from Ash's jurrasicraft mod and the pegasus from the more creature's mod could be spliced so that the controller block can be well, controlled, as well as not go down (unless told to do so)
I've not looked at the sourcecode for minecraft, so I'm not really sure which is easier to code, but from what I know of JAVA, it seems like a mob would be easier
Thanks for the suggestions, but a giant mob would be impossible. How would i get the exact texture. and It would just not work in general with the blocks themselves.
DUDE! I just saw something that you might be able to use to make movement fluid! O.O viewtopic.php?f=1039&t=275835
You should talk to the guy who is making this! O_O

There are times when I feel like both the luckiest and unluckiest man in the universe.
Pistons does not make an entity for every block. It simply draws a moving block, while in reality it does the same thing mine does.
Ok... so a moving block is not an entity?
No, it just draws it as if it is an entity. I am looking into that, hopefully that physics enhanced mod that someone posted will help. I contacted the author.
Close up of a control block, texture courtesy of up-a-notch, part of the Angry Notch modding team. @them, i liked the repeater block texture a lot, so i just used it for both this and the repeater. The difference is the repeater only uses the side texture, the control block uses all 3.

O.O I like! :biggrin.gif:
I'd like to apply for testing. ;D

I know nothing, nothing about java or coding, or anything to do with microwaves. But I have an idea.
Would it be possible to make the Control Block/Repeater Block only carry what was in their "pick-up" area, once they were placed? Then you'd be able to avoid running into a mountain, and taking half of it with you!
Also, this looks like it's going to be an amazing mod, and I wish you the best of luck!

Before school, After School, Before Bed that's 3 and that's all I need.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

Don't click this link, HE is haunting it...
Simple, yet beautiful. I love it.
