Ahahahaha. This guy may just be a moderator, but he is managing to single-handedly get their site shut down. Have fun not having a website anymore, pimpchimp. Nice name, btw. :wink.gif:
If this keeps up, I plan to send an email informing Notch himself of this. If money is being made from these mods, Notch has a legal right to sue. If money is not being made, there are still many ways I can report the website for illegal conduct.
Actually, it's pretty murky legally. Notch probably wouldn't sue because he's a lazy Swedish businessman more interested in making money and playing games, but that's besides the point.
Point is it's pretty much up to the authors of the mods to start any legal action.
While not protected either by this forums privacy policy or terms of use, they should have creative control legally in court over the use of their content. That content being released as free to use by the general public and by GK's indirect or direct action that content now has a submarket where profiteers are charging without the authors consent.
That point can and probably would win in any court if presented and proof could be made that the authors did in fact contact the mods and could prove that the mods responded by editing/banning/removing posts and users.

Also their TOS is a good point, Proloe. They are legally bound to that, so it could be two charges instead of one. Failure to abide by their TOS and what I mentioned.

It's members of their forums that are re-uploading our mods and profiting. At most, the admins of gamekiller will have to discourage it and attempt to remove any re-uploaded mods, but that's not really a practical solution. The best thing they could do (and the least they can do) is make it forum policy to link to the original thread on these forums instead of allowing their members to post direct download links.
But they didn't discourage it, when the mod owners asked for their mods to be removed INCLUDING messaging the admins, they were permabanned. Some of mods were uploading mods as well.
Hey faggots, have you made the mods? Hmm, is it your mods? How about you Mr. OP? Have YOU actually made a ****ing mod?
And no we're not making money off of them, they're just being posted, if credits are not given to the original creator they're supposed to be deleted, and no we're not making ****ing money off this you tits.
If you have a ****ing problem, talk to an admin, don't ****ing break the rules and ***** about it when you get banned.

Hey guys look, it's a twelve year old!
6 and a half, actually.
Sorry, I hadn't read all the posts before I posted that myself, as I had other things to do at the time, but rest assured, i read most of the 2nd page and am getting on to the third, why would they hire a 6.5 yr. old?
4chan hates minecraft(not /v/). I did suggest this, but you need to make it sound like it would be fun to invade gamekiller.net. plus, there is the chance that they might actually troll here instead.

Proloe, you have done a wonderful job here. It's nice to see some people who can deal with the idiots out there without sinking to their level.
:smile.gif:
Sorry, I'm almost certain there's something wrong with me...
Nice job proloe!

Oh my god! I love your avatar! I have a Yorkshire Terrier that looks just like that... but larger.
Someone will, don't worry.

If my email gets through, it may not even have to be one of us.
Very true. Then the site would pretty much be terminated from their host.

I think that's reasonable.

I know there is a way to stress test a site and make it crash... Don't know how though.
