NEVER update your game with ANY mod installed, just for a precation. NEVER save your password. ONLY login with your real username and password when you are updating. Otherwise put in a FAKE username and FAKE password. This way, pirates can't get your passwords. Make sure to DELETE ALL MODS by deleting bin(this won't corrupt your minecraft or saves, I promise, it just re-installs the game files). This way you do not need to worry.

Mods shouldn't be giving out external connections, and obviously... In mulitplayer certain mods like that were made to be prevented, ... There is no way to truely get keylogged from a minecraft mod. Look for .bat's, and .exe's
... Seriously, this is a piece of ****, it does not relate to released mods in the correct contexts, and should be put in the server sections for survival. Sorry.
Wrong forum!
Also, you can't LOG IN with an incorrect password...
Not wrong forum, mods are causing people to loose minecraft account passwors. You can also always play offline mode.
It is the wrong forum, one because it's not a mod, and two because a mod can't steal your password, it never goes past the launcher and ping to minecraft.net. The people who got their passwords stolen were from modded launchers.
you, sir, are being paranoid. it is almost certainly enough to keep your password safe to type it every time; the only place I know of for a client mod to get at it is to read your lastlogin file in your .minecraft, which stores your password if you check the "remember password" box.
however, launcher mods can get at it Just Like That. I strongly recommend making sure that if you use a launcher mod, you can verify that it is safe. there are good launcher mods, but launcher mods are more privy to your password than are client mods, and in my opinion should be trusted a bit less.
either way, if you want to know for sure that a mod is safe, decompile it and read it, or find someone you trust who can.

if your account gets stolen your a dumb ass enough said cause there are mods that want you to download a exe or bat which steals your account not mods that you put in your damn minecraft.jar folder cause if it were to steal your crap then why haven't it stolen it already?

That's only if you tick "remember password", too. If you're paranoid, just untick that and delete lastlogin.
....that's what I was saying....
