For all those noobies out there, being all "OMGWTFBBQ Wat i do??????" This one's for you. It takes you through punching trees to what animals are worth killing. It's really basic and really simple. It has two starter houses. One in Minecraftia (wood), and one in the Nether (bedrock). At the start, play on peaceful, then when you finish the tutorial, do whatever the hell you want with it. And please, stay on the wood until you finish.
To all who downloaded before: Please re-download the map and re-do the Nether part if you don't mind
Instructions: 1. Download Minetorial
2. Open up the .rar
3.Drag the file, "World1" into your "appdata", "roaming", "saves" folder
4, Rename "World1", "World2", "World3", "World4", or "World5" corresponding with the Minecraft world number you want the map in.
I've played minecraft for a long time now so I downloaded this just out of interest, its a good clear map for new players (if they manage to download it) and I have a bit of feedback for you if your interested:
I dont know if this is still WIP but in the nether the path just sort of ends, in a cave with fire at the end. I was sort like wtf am I sposed to do now.
I saw before I went into the portal that the wooden path continues and I might continue that later, and when I reached the end of the cave as mentioned above I thought that I might have to double back and go back through the portal, just wasnt really clear. And this leads onto the next point
I couldn't double back through the portal because a ghast blew the bloody thing up, I know you said play on peaceful but I forgot and a new player might not know how to do that, so you might want to put a sign up somewhere reminding them to and how to put it on if you think its needed.
Otherwise it was a good 'minetorial' and the starting position on the frozen lake was impressive, as well as the nether world! I dont go to the nether much so it was even more so and to a new player it would be fantastic!
Hope this feedback helps and I hope you take this further because it derserves to be noticed in my opinion. Good luck with it!
First off, I would like to thank you very much for the feedback :smile.gif: Now, to your concerns...
1. That path is simply for exploration purposes, I guess I forgot to put the sign saying that the player was free to explore after that point.
2. I'll put another sign saying to double back through the portal to continue on with the tutorial.
3. I'll also put a chest containing a flint and steel, and a guide on how to use it with a portal :smile.gif:
Again, thanks for the feedback, and I'll fix it now :biggrin.gif:
Good job. I have to agree with JohntheTaco. And even if you don't have an account, I bet you still wouldn't even look at a forum or know of it's existance as a complete noob. Ah well, whatever, glad you did something.
Also, get some pictures up. Pictures always get more downloads. ALWAYS. The ammount of downloads mostly lies on how you present it. Even if you have a mod where there will be a turd on your head, you will still get alot of downloads for the presentation, and that needs pictures.
I'll get some pictures up soon, but right now I think I'm gonna take a little break from Mapping, maybe I'll blow some stuff up with TNT, that's always fun xD

Enjoy the minetorial!
Touche, but you don't have to be part of the forum to see the post, just to comment. And I shall post instructions.
