In my opinion, I think that the Sheepuffs (I hope they're spelled like that) come in the five colors, brown, white, grey, light grey, and brown.
Blue, Cyan, Purple, Light Blue and Magenta would allow the player to access those colors of wool without absolutely requiring Lapus Lazuli.
I agree Grey. Especially since I can never find large quantities of Lapis Lazuli in my world without starting a major mining project. Though maybe just have them add this on a different update since I would love for this mod to be out quicker (Not that it would be a very tough thing by the looks of it in my opinion ((I'm not a modder of any kind so my opinion might be off by some please correct me if I'm wrong)) Though the one thing is the color scheme to go along with the feel of the Aether which may restrict the limits of what they could do with the colors of Sheepuffs without it looking ridiculous and ugly. Well anyway King, Kodaichi, and Shockah you guys are doing great in my opinion so keep it up

Since the direction of the conversation about this mod has taken a turn down the wrong path I am going to say something that I feel has to be said. In this polarizing conversation we are having here as individuals many of us have made it clear that we like this mod whether or not it is staying true to the original Suggestion thread, and some very vocal dissenters in this conversation do not like the direction that the mod is heading however a select few of the people who do not like the mod as it is have made the decision to say "I don't like the mod as it is, however I will attempt to give my criticisms along with my suggestions in a polite manner and I will make my final verdict on the mod when it is finished." To those people that do not like the way the mod is being constructed I urge you to try and take the position I mentioned earlier unless you truly wish to give the mod makers nothing but harsh words and strong expressions of disappointment for what they have done and are not in any way interested in what they are going to do in the future with the mod.
Well said my dear Sir.
Also, I must agree that I do like the path that this mod is going down so far. I do believe that each world (Nether, Overworld, and Aether) should have enough supplies inside it viva blocks or other materials to not have to constantly rely on the other dimensions. This is basicly; Food, light, tools, and anything required to make food light and tools. This is one reason why I find the nether right now currently really annoying (has Food as soup and Light in glowstones but no tools). It always sucks going breaking your last pick during exploration and thus having to make a long walk back to a portal to get more tools.
That is why I enjoy the Aether Tiers. Sure, it wasn't in the original suggestion but it was something needed to help flesh out the place a bit more. Some of the tools might need serious tweaking over the course but this is in no way the end product.
My only hope is that in the initial release that there is floatsand. I really need some elevators.
Skyroot Logs can be refined into Skyroot Planks, which in turn can be used to craft Skyroot Sticks and tools.
Does this mean there will be Skyroot tools as well? Or are Holystone tools the 1st tier aether tools?
I'd imagine that they'd just be wooden tools with some other characteristic. I'd possibly say shortening the lifespan of said tools down to gold durability, though, considering that the wood is all over the place and it's more efficient to just mine some Holystone.
One other thing that would make the tools more desirable is if you were to make it impossible to mine Holystone with anything other than Skyroot Tools. Kinda seems like it would fit, I dunno. One could even describe it as the counterpart to the Nether's easy-to-break blocks, too.
Make sure you don't take too long before you release it, people wil lose interest very soon.
I seriously doubt that. As soon as this masterpiece is released and videos hit the youtube, peoples gonna be downloading left and right. Oh to the modders. Here is your complmentary diamond helmet wearing army of creepers.
"thats a very nice whale you have there" Ssssssssss

When you say "impossible to mine Holystone with anything other than Skyroot Tools." you mean impossible to mine with anything other than Aether Pickaxes: zanite pickaxe (at any level of power)/skyroot pickaxe/holystone pickaxe/gravitite pickaxe, and if additional Aether pickaxes are added, they would mine holystone as well. Am I right?
And the ambrosium, zanite and gravitite ores as well as enchanted gravitite should be mineable with zanite pickaxe (must be at stone level or higher)/holystone pickaxes/gravitite pickaxes.
Ambrosium has a rare chance of getting using holystone tools on other than ambrosium ore, but there should also be a rare chance of getting two ambrosium gems when the ore is mined with holystone.
As I'm sure has been said many a-time, this mod looks freaking amazing. Mostly i just want to know what changes to the nether are being implemented, and how the aether tools fare in the overworld/nether.
... Did you guys created it for 1.3_01? So, there's a update as you know (1.4_01) so.. Do you've got to start all over with modding??
They don't have to start all over with modding, actually. All they have to do is wait for the things they use to create the mod to update, then they just update the Aether itself. It can be a bit of a lengthy process since you have to rely on other people to update their stuff first, but they most certainly don't have to start over.
This is why I kinda hope the Aether gets implemented into the vanilla game. We won't have to worry about the Aether mod needing updating from these guys when Notch releases a new update every time... one because I'm sure it just adds one more thing to the list of stuff to do for these three, and two because then I wouldn't have to wait after every update in order to get into the Aether :3
I know people have been suggestion sky-wolves of some sort for a while now, but if I can put my two-cents in... please don't implement sky-wolves. I'm not sure if wolves are capable of entering the Nether with you (haven't tested that out yet), but even if they can't, I think the Aether will be pretty crowded as it is, if all of these mobs are common enough. The moas should satisfy people enough who want to tame more mobs.

It doesn't have to be implemented in the vanilla game to not need updates anymore. Notch just needs to put a API in the game.
The API won't be able to create advanced mods like this. In fact, the most you will probably be able to do is create new blocks, mobs and items. New dimensions are completely out of the question.
Blue, Cyan, Purple, Light Blue and Magenta would allow the player to access those colors of wool without absolutely requiring Lapus Lazuli.
