it is going to be epic.
Kingdobongz "however you spell that silly name", has already made minecraft advanced one of the funnest extensions to minecrafts "When you are rich you can craft this" mods.
With the nether update "mod", and minecraft advanced, as well as "Aether" an extreme concept coming to light.
Notch will be hard pressed not to add those to the game officially.
Now we essentially have the "hell earth and heaven" of the minecraft reality. A great idea to go to Nether first in order to get to aether. That adds an extreme goal to the game. The goal is fun because once you get to Aether you get so many more interactive blocks to mess with. it is like going to nether for the first time and discovering netherrack.
Though on top of not only giving us a new section to play with your going to make Nether more interesting as well! Holy crap man.
The creation of this mod will get me re-intressted into minecraft once more. Please Kingz do not forget about your original minecraft advanced and add/extend that into this new compilation of mods.
Nether, Extremly fast flowing and chaotic. Powerful and dangerous. Fiery and death riddin. Extremely enclosed but easy to break through. There is always a surface to be on so it is quick to get from point a to point b. There is dangerous mobs that are obviously hazardous as well as the environment it's self. The very rock is strong in effect with it's ability to always be burning yet it is weaaaak in everything else.
"earth?", Has its dangers. Also has it's luxuries. it is a solid middle between chaos and order. it is pretty straight forward in every regard. Creepers are dangerous, pigs are not. Diamonds are powerful, Dirt is not. Though extended through the ability to hold both aether and nether blocks. Aether blocks cannot be found in nether and nether blocks cannot be found in aether. When the player brings such blocks to earth they however can stay unlike the other two locations. Earth has it's own extensions allowing it's own materials to be in both aether and nether, and even mix materials to make new things. For earth is the middle realm , and its power is the mediate between the two extremes.
Aether, While open and extremely nice looking. That in it's own right holds dangerous consequences. Things do not "seem" dangerous and that is why this place is probably the most dangerous of them all. Your movement is often slow as you overcome the insane terrain. Everything is sooo open and far, but mystifying and beautiful to behold. Most likely the strongest and most powerfully expressive materials can be found here. The most reactive elements possible allowing for endless experimentation. There could even be possible "cross reactions" of the aether blocks and the nether blocks.
My summery of what i think these mod's will accomplish.
Ps: placing nether or aether blocks in the opposite place will result in a similar reaction to waters "dissipate" in nether. However it would also be cool to have some of them actually set off like primed tnt upon placement and detonate for a useful but a holy crap reaction of aether blocks in nether and visa versa.

Light stone gates and all that jazz? At least Kodachi gives us a chance to aquire light stone dust without venturing into the Nether if we don't wish to.
Flying pigs made me laugh, and the new mobs sound very interesting.

We've seen afew things in the main updates that come from forum ideas. I'm not sure why anyone criticises Notch or any of the development team. If it weren't for them none of this would be possible. I'm gonna be updating to 1.3 soon and look forward to the beds and system enhancements that even our modder (gods >.>) would find difficult to maintain.

but 1 question if the aethersand floating when i place onthe block sand etc or I place it to a buildings is the building going to fly?
I've got an idea on the Cloud blocks or... well Marble, or whichever the clouds are made of. If they're solid enough to walk on, Couldn't there be a way to place them in the air? That way we can more easily build upwards, or in open space without needing a scaffold to lead up to our higher 'Cloud house' ?

This is going to be AWESOME! Especially combined with that MC new terrain generator mod with stackable chunks and the Omni Mod.
Agreed. Driving tanks in Aether will certainly turn some heads.

Retired StaffIt's too high, you can't even see it from the surface. The only way to access it is through a teleporation portal.
