Oh I have no doubt it's actually compatible with ModLoader, but it won't work with the way that the program uninstalls mods. So if the user ever uninstalled this mod, ModLoader would also stop working. I'm sure I can make a workaround though.
So everyone, the functionality is basically done! There are a couple more buttons to add here and there, but it's ready to go as-is. However, I want to make it as complete as possible for you - before I release it (it's looking like that will be either Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon), it will have ~150 mods already included, as well as at least 50 texture packs, possibly more. Omega has helped tremendously with this, gathering the list of mods and he's also helping gather the texture pack list. I look forward to releasing this thing!
As for Omega's timer idea, I'll be adding that in as a utility that you can start and it will keep track of the "MC Time" and the number of total days that have passed. Thanks for the idea. :smile.gif:
Also, Emperor Penguin is now the official graphic artist for MineTopia (and OCMI, if it ever needs any graphics). Welcome to the "team". :smile.gif:
One last thing before I go to bed: I just had a great idea. After I release MineTopia, I'm going to be working on a modding GUI. Basically, a visual UI that allows you to make mods via drag and drop, automatically inserted commands, etc. etc. This will make modding a lot easier for people. Let me know if anyone would be interested in something like this. :happy.gif:
May I suggest adding an image that shows conflicting mods, and a one button click to remove/disable a mod? Otherwise this is an amazing program that I have been using since version 1.0!
When you're installing the mods, the program will check to make sure that the mod you're installing right now does not conflict with any already-installed mods. (in MineTopia) If it does, the program will notify you and will not continue installing the mod. As for the disabling/uninstalling, that's already included in the MineTopia, which will be released tomorrow or Wednesday. I hope you'll be using that as well. :smile.gif:
I'm glad I randomly clicked on this mod, minetopia looks like its going to be awesome when released. Release it tonight! =P
Ya know, I think I probably will release it tonight. I'll have the auto-updating code in there in a few minutes, so that your mods.txt, mods.html, and texturepacks.txt files will automatically be updated if a new version is out, so there's no use in stalling the release of the program if I can do that. I'll probably be posting it up tonight. :smile.gif:
