With this mod, you can create a new tool: Shears! When equipped, you get +1 wool from shearing sheep, and you are also able to collect leaf blocks from nearby trees. If you're shearing trees, you do not get a chance for a sapling. Because of the way biomes are colored, while in your inventory, the leaves are going to be gray. When you place them, they'll turn back green again (matching the biome color you're in).
Crafted like so (with any normal tool crafting material): []

Install instructions (same as most other mods):
1) Open %APPDATA%/bin
2) BACK UP minecraft.jar
3) Open minecraft.jar with an archive editor like WinRar or 7zip
4) Delete the META-INF/ folder
5) Open the Shears zip file, and drag the files over to minecraft.jar window
6) Close both files and enjoy!
Awesome mod, but just one thing. The shear sprite seems a bit off. It kind of reminded me of wings when I first saw it. Unfortunately I'm no good at all at pixel art, but just as a suggestion, closed shears might look a little better. Other then that, you deserve a Notch!
I will be more than happy to replace the image with a better one if someone can produce it :smile.gif:
