As the title states, I would like to get into the modding business. However, I have extremely limited knowledge about JAVA coding, and I am not exactly sure where to start. I have Ideas of how I can get practice but I need a shove in the right direction first.
1. What is the best way for me to learn some of the Basic JAVA coding knowledge needed to create items, and blocks?
2. Where can I find this information?
Yes, I have used the search bar in the MC forums, and yes I have used google. When using the MC search, I found nothing but jibber-jabber about "Awesome Idea "X" or "Great Mod Idea "Y," and when using Google the only somewhat helpful information I could gather was too complex for me at the moment.
Any help or information is greatly appreciated, Thank You in advance!
I suggest you stay away from MakeMyItem and MakeMyBlock, yes they're both good mods but they don't teach you anything about modding. If you want to make your own mod from scratch theirs tutorials on this forum. You can also learn from other mods by asking for the creators source or decompiling and learning how they work.

Great information in there, I just skimmed through 2 posts and they seemed to have some information I could use, as well as being at my level. :$
Anyone else have other links?
