Hey everyone! I don't know how many of you have heard of the game Jet Set Radio or Jet Set Radio Future, but those of you that have played it, know how great the game is! Here's my idea, I don't know if this can actually work out, so this may just be me spewwing heaps of bo sch** at you, but here it goes. Place reworked fences that can act as grind rails, and have a recipe creating skates. With these two, you can jump on the grind rails, and surf through your very own Jet Set Radioesque course! Later on during progression of the mod, tricks could be added, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. This could work as a fun and efficient way of quick travel! If anyone could do this, I would love you forever. Thanks! Opinions and ideas are open for discussion! :smile.gif:
And of course, gotta change DJ Professor K's monologues:
JET SET RADIOOOOOOOOOO!
The GG's found themselves in a heap o' trouble, in this place full of blocks and bricks, yo. But what they found was a world run by the rogue gangs of Minecraft! You see these guys? They're the Bone Drones. Skinny little guys who ride around at night trying to snatch up anyone stupid enough to cross their way. Now I ain't saying what's for dinner, but you better hope it ain't you! Show 'em who's turf they're on and cover those walls with a layer of fresh paint!
Spray cans would work like active block dyes. Just imagine:
You're grinding on the Fencerail with your Iron Skates, and you see a blank building wall. You take out your blue spray can and tag it for the Wumbos as you pass by:
You come back the next day and fine that the Targets don't like you being there too much:
Would the skates work like minecart lines? Because it'd be annoying having to hop every single step. lol. Besides that, it would be pretty awesome to see this as a MOD.
yeah, this would be really awesome. Like a possible FULL CONVERSION MOD, that you could then have for the server gang battles n stuff, this would be awesome.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting it any other way. It would be stupid to have to jump every block, although, you could space some rails off so you have to jump. More jumps to consecutive rails = more speed?
I don't think it would be too hard to implement this. Take the Minecart Track mechanic, mod it so it has the look of fences, then use the minecart mechanic, and impliment skates. The only real work that would need to be done is a way to let the player jump whenever he or she wishes. I'd do this myself, but I'm modding challenged. :\
I can just imagine this, I recently found out about the game and I'm so into it, if there could be a radio that when you held it or had it, it would play jsr or jsrf music, also, there would need to be the police guys. This would be so awesome
Hello, I could ask my new modding partner if he could spare some time into helping this project get started. I could make textures and he could make the mod, or a major part of it. Just PM me with more info of what you want and I'll try and get it done.
Jet Set Radio Trailer/Gameplay:
hey if you use TFC's mod loader it works wonders for the non-computer savvy types
and it loads the files for you so check it out
If this is ever made I will go apeshiznit :biggrin.gif:
