Hello,
I have a great idea for mod because its not going to happen without mods,
My idea is to have an Craftable Helicopter that flies,
I saw in mo cretures that pegasus can fly,
So it is possible to do an helicopter,
It will be squared,
Right click to sit in, Space to get higher,
A-D to turn around,
W forward,
S get lower,
And if it is possible, Making turret gun too,
So left click will be shoot by aiming at the target.

Well, I think it will be aweomse as hell if it be done.

ok so s is to slow down and w to go faster but how do you go up and down... ex: HOW WILL YOU GET IN THE AIR if you cant go up or down in the helicopter?

I think space to go upwards and Ctrl to go down would be a good control scheme.

Though I have no clue about down.

U craft the helicopter as item,
You put it on the ground and it creates an helicopter,
RIght click and u get in,
Space bar to get up(In the air)
W to fly forward, Means straight where u are aiming,
A-D turn around the camera,
S to get down(To the ground) and when u touch the ground u can right click to get off the helicopter.

Its not nececery to reverse because its silly.

And to craft a Helicopter, you have to craft many many many parts using iron, silicon chip, oil, metal. It will also become damaged if landed incorrectly. It will break if a landing is not on a flat surface. If it breaks unnaturally by a failed landing only some of the parts will drop. If you use a welder and break it apart, all its parts come off and you can recraft it in a different spot.

hover boat mod basically does this, it flies (and fast too) it shoots (tnt cannionn, arrow, ghast fireball, egg and snowball) and all u need to do is change the gui or something (i dont know nothin bout modding

Markus Persson (Notch) himself said he didn't want minecraft to get too techy. We're pushing it to the LIMIT with some of the mods out there (plasticcraft, YAY! :biggrin.gif:)


Things I think are good.
Epic transport.
Sweet way to lol at creepers.
Fuel?
Mobile blocks! (hell yes.)
SMP compatible = win

First, I know notch wont make heli in game, So i suggested a mod for it,
I dont think its supposed to be so hard, You are jsut making it more complex.
U can craft 3 parts from iron and than combine them

Anyway, Thats an idea, if someone would like to do it, Go ahead.

as mentioned above,

hoverboat does all that and more (storage area)

so I doubt most modders would pick up this idea

To those who don't think this should be part of the game, then just go away. If someone else wants their version of Minecraft to have another form of transportation, then why should it matter to you? So what if Notch wanted it to not be to techy, once a person has it at home they can do what they want (Well, within legal means). I have said it before, the world will not end if __________ is added to minecraft (Put whatever your complaint is in the blank). The only limit to minecraft should be the programming language and imagination.
I personally use the hoverboat mod, so I wouldn't be likely to try this one out. But I think you should get to have it if you want it.
