How will the replacing of the 4 original animals affect other mods?

Modability isn't just a word I made up, it's the line between Minecraft being a fad and a cult classic.
Something I noticed is that when I minecraft through MCpatcher, it tells me there is no class file for haystack? nor is there any png icon....
Just manually install it.
I did. black screen. So I ran minecraft through MC patcher because it has that nice little window to tell you where problems are, and thats what it gave me.

I dont get error, but when i give or press q to give the animals wheat or the seeds, they dont eat it, they dont follow me,

if you read correctly- first post says drop it near the animal
animal will pick it up itself
I am still getting invisble manure and inventory icons
but the mod works
the farmcraft folder is in its proper place inside minecraft.jar, and the proper pings are in there, not compressed or anything
have loaded mods 100's of times
it just doesnt want to find the pings for some reason
am doing to try whole new d/l of minecraft and farmcraft and see if that helps
sigh- prettiest minecraft.jar I have built yet- hate to start over again- but will for this mod
I seem to be the only one with this problem- so is obviously something on my end

I KNOW you have some ideas for this mod
may I humbly ask some of your thoughts on next steps for this mod
just like your first mod, great groundwork and amazing potential for growth

try installing mod loader, then audio mod, then mo creatures, and THEN farmcraft. it worked perfect for me, since farmcraft needs haystacks and i figured mo creatures has em, so i tried and bam. everything works beautifully.
DrZhark does your mod happen to be forgetting the haystack class? I used the command prompt to start and the guys on the risugami irc said it was missing i tried dling both but they both dont have the haystack.class thing.

Yes, I may have forgotten to include the Haystack.class file in the mod. I'll fix that and update a new version tonight. In the meantime the only way to get this mod working is installing Mo'Creatures first or manually copying the haystack.class file from Mo'Creatures
DrZhark, I don't know if I misread, but you said that we have to tame chickens with flower seeds.
I tried with flower seeds and it didn't work, but it worked with rose seeds. But they eat flower seeds when they are tamed. Just wanted to say :biggrin.gif:

Thank you very much DrZhark for your inspiration and hard work. This is a fun mod! I successfully ran it with Mo' Creatures and a Hang Glider mod, here are some observations:
- The baby animals made my children scream in delight. That was nice.
- More screams of delight when a poop was spotted. Who'd have guessed?
- Waiting for cows to spawn took forever, probably about 2 game days of me alternating between standing still and running around to a few nearby large grassy areas. For most of that time, I had 2 tame pigs and 2 tame sheep. Hopefully that wasn't too much to adversely affect the spawn rate of other mobs.
- I have yet to see a single chicken since installing FarmCraft. Several game days have passed.
- Speaking of mob spawns, I've had Mo' Creatures running all week, and have only see two groups of horses, ever. Maybe I have sprained my spawner.
I should also add that the shepherd's crook does not work when passing through doorways. That makes it difficult to get a tamed animal into a pen, especially a pair of them for breeding! I need to tear down my doors and just use dirt blocks instead.

For one thing, Farmcraft does not need sound..
For another thing, 1.2.02 was a very small update, mods were destroyed through the update, but most still work if you reinstall them..
For one last thing, this mod is much easier to just copy and paste to the minecraft bin :biggrin.gif:
