Hey xjayr, your map was really fun but I couldn't finish it because the freaking ghast flew out of the arena. lol. was there much left to the map?
well if you killed the ghast i think you get a diamond sword.
I never got to completing the map since the update broke it. now that it's fixed im working on a way to keep the ghast in.... hmm Clip Block?
Totally going to post my dungeon when I finish it. Expect amazing things! =P lol
Also, do you guys know why ghasts never spawn for me? and why they spawn in massive sizes (Measured 16x16 ghasts)
Beware! this post contains my opinions based on my personal expierance! if you don't agree with me, too bad. This is my opinion!
Well, after completing the included map i wanted to have some more excitement, unfortunately, what i got was frustration.
First, lets do Ascension. I had high hopes for this map, in fact it started off great! I was loving the feel of the whole thing, up to the cart. The fence made me have a hard time to get in the cart even though i knew how to get over. The first time i did the cart didn't move and i jumped out and explored. After a push i was on my way. Things were good. Until i jumped out for fear of my life, i died anyway though :sleep.gif:. After this i respawned, OUTSIDE! After some exploring i realized i couldn't get back in. So i started over, and went through again. Jumped into the cart and out( from my last experience i thought i had to push it) and it went flying. Again, i died.
Final Judgement: since when you die you are unable to play this map anymore, would it not make sense to rate this map, Unplayable.
Next we have Cavern Hill. I started off skeptical since of the last map. I relaxed once the great border feature was found. In all seriousness, i love how you blocked off some of the map. I continued and went through. I fought some skeletons and then some spawned on me. :sleep.gif:. after some playing and some F4 for manual checkpoints, i reached the zombie pigmen. Killed them, sadly :sad.gif:
I played the sign with the drums and then, nothing. Yup absolutely nothing. But that is not what frustrated me. what did was the silver key need to get into the pigmen room. I could not find it anywhere for the life of me. I used F4 to get passed it thinking the game would continue but it didn't. So i was unable to finish the map. But, i must say that it was somewhat fun. and i really mean somewhat. With many problems and things i didnt exactly like, i did slightly enjoy this one.
Final Judgement: Even with all the frustrations i continued to play it, so i do recommend it. I also recommend switching the name to the Case of the Missing Silver Key
For Cavern Hill, the silver key spawns on some glass near the ceiling and you have to use the boomerang to get it. I did have trouble considering it blends in. The zombie pigmen was the boss and your prize is the drums(click the sign to play it). For Ascension I also had trouble at the minecart part considering when I got out it flew off and I had to use /fly to get down. I just assumed it was possible if you stayed in so I considered it possible.

i assumed the glass there was for spawning spiders on me. I'm pretty sure everyone whos played the Mayans temple is now paranoid. Okay, thanks for the hint i will try it out now. and accession, im sure it could be done but with many drops and everything not always working like it should is why i gave it what i did. maybe one day ill try it again. Im not sure though.
Edit: after deleting the save i had i could find the silver key. it seems thatit didnt spawn for me when i played the first time.
The Real Final Judgement: A definite yes to anyone who loved mayan temple, only thing is, why no boss?
I have an idea for this thread. You should not only post dungeons, but maps as well. Because I know for fact that many people do not know how to make maps, so it would be very useful if you guys could post your maps too. Maybe make some custom ones, like:
-One huge mountain
-Desert
-Island like the mayan temple, but without the mountains on the sides
I would really appreciate it if you posted your map generations. It would help SO MUCH!
I would post my own but I can't figure out what the hell he was doing, so until I figure it out...
K, I tried cavern hill, and the thing is just broken. So I go down to "Kill the spirits in the back" and I find some slimes. I kill them, but then sword skeles jump me and kill me. So I respawn, but the door isn't opening. And skeletons don't seem to ever stop spawning... So yeah, it's a broken dungeon.

This is a good idea but I haven't used the map generation yet so I don't have any maps to put up but if some people want to make some go ahead and pm me it.

I beat the Cavern Hill and I don't remember it ever breaking on me. I'll play it again on the weekend to check and if it is I'll notify the creator and take it down until fixed. My suggestion until then is reinsert the original file and press F6 when you begin to reset everything.
Will do.
Does anybody here happen to know how to bring back the maximum hearts down to 3? I took a heart container and now it doesn't go back down to 3...
Btw I'm going to post my dungeon soon.

cldyefrog just to tell you, He said PM the map to him
ANYWAYS : the map
Level 1 - Maze
Hehe it was quite good i love how you put rooms and have to battle through to get loot
The only thing i didnt like was how grass was on the floor. Animals spawned (90% sheep) got in way of the combat
Nice key system and also, you have your doors closing and shutting when the next monster spawns
Level 2 - Arena
That ws great and fine
Level 3 - Lava Pit or W/E
Died so many times here, good challenges and great design, never noticed that key!
It dosent say a new level so ill continue
The maze where you have to flick 3 leavers was quite annoying so after that led to a room with a waterhole and 3 doors. i killed everything, flicked the leavers , got the key, swan through squids!@!@ (yah) then
failed the ladder thing
didnt go slow on the TAKE TIME OR DIE and died ( used debug mode to get back in )
then i jumped down, got trapped in a everlasting spikeloop and used debug
then a dispenser challenge, that was fun
and thats pretty much all
Its a great map but for some reason the spawn points arnt working...

well thank you vary much for the feedback
yeah i noticed that the spawns weren't working also, thought it mite just be my client or something.but yeah i kinda forgot to name the other lvls xD its still not finished but i pretty much ran out of ideas till some new blocks are created.
K, I tried the lost miner one, and it's OK. However the creator should really consider watching the tutorials on triggers, because it seems they do not know how to make mobs spawn only once. And it's oh so annoying having to fight zombies in a small room without being able to step in this one place because it would just spawn more zombies. So yeah, pretty annoying. The boss fight was also not very good. All it took was using the hookshot to get to the corner with spikes and tanking all his shots with the shield. Hard part about the boss fight is that it was dark, and took some exploring with a torch to know what to do.
However the part I did like was the hookshoting over the spikes. I thought that was pretty good, even though it took me a while to understand really where to go. That made it good. Or at least better. The ever-spawning mobs was terrible.
So, I feel I should rate this.
For difficulty, I give this a 5.5/10. Would be an 7.5, but the boss fight was pretty lame.
For level design, I give this an 8/10. Simple, clever, with only one mistake(It is possible to quickly steal the silver key and hookshot up to the boss bridge). Overall very good level design.
For replay/enjoyment, I give this a 7/10. I really did love the hookshot over spikes room. A lot of mobs though, which is not always a good thing.
If you cant find the key on the secret zone, in the netherish place, there should be a leaver hidden on a wall
Flick it twice and a key should drop outa a dispenser
Time to rate the secret zone! Yay!
To tell you the truth, this map was actually very well made. The boss level was very creative, and it was fun! The nether place kind of lagged me a LOT, but it was still pleasing. The blocks used were a little off, but that was ok, the way the level was built made up for it.
For difficulty, I gave this an 7.5/10. The boss part was VERY hard, but entertaining as well. Very good work.
For level design, I gave this a 8/10. Epic. Simply epic. The nether part was very well made, and the boss arena was flowing together perfectly. Excellent job. Also really great use of dispensers.
For replay/entertainment, I gave this an 7/10. It was great at the beginning, but the second time around I knew where everything was and what to do. If it were longer it would have been even better.
Overall: 7.5/10. This was a great map, really fun. I hope you continue making maps like this =P
Though why call it:"The Secret Zone"? Did i miss a sign in-game?
