Slowsand is like the real quicksand (yea haha stupid wordjoke -_-'), but this block doesn't show off anything at all that could possibly make you walk faster.

Oh haha what a good joke. The only thing I could be sad about is that the creepers that fall into my lavariver around my castle wont be able to give me their gunpowder.
And also, to those saying stuff about grass, dunes, and other stuff:
I do think that about 50% of the blocks in Minecraft are human made: Iron blocks, wooden planks, ect.
Pretty cool! Make it that you walk faster on harder surfaces than softer.
Dirt/Grass Speed = 1
Sand Speed = 1
Stone speed = 1.05
All Ores = 1.05
Iron blocks = 1.25
Gold Blocks = 1.50
Diamond blocks = 2
Gah, I keep seeing flame attacks against this mod but frankly, I quite like the idea. It's a simple concept when you THINK on it. "Hmm...I want to make the trip between my super awesome mine and my huge castle...How do I do that? Wait...ROADS!" Now with this, instead of having to take a significant trip back and forward on foot or use unreliable minecart systems, this makes it quite simple and easier for newbie players to do.
oh and also it would be cool if these were not blocks but like tracks and you could place 1 a block higher and they would connect and you could walk without having to jump, or just make the blocks do that
Now something about my work. I'm not a java programmer, in fact i started to get around with modding today, looking through other peoples code, trying to figure how it all works. I'm using a lot of mods right now, but still after chaning IDs via properties file i managed to get this all work well together so i think it should be compatible with big chunk of mods out there.
I HOPE nothing bad will happen if you put those files into your minecrajt.jar BUT REMEMBER TO BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO SO! Really, i'm not gonna feel sorry if you don't :wink.gif:, you've been warned. Also, download updated version of ModLoader by Risugami, just to be sure.
One more thing - i included Props.class made by ChocolateySyrup, it's used for handling customIds file. I hope he's not gonna kick my ass for "stealing" his useful class file :>. I'm working on my own ways to implement this feature... Side effect of using his Props class is conflict with spawnlocus mod.... ;/ i hope to fix this soon.

I would love to try your mod (and I'm sure I will in a while) but your version of the mod is currently incompible with Bonesidian Tools since it edits the Props.class

Thanks for trying Carel. I'm prolly gonna head to bed for the night, but I'll prolly try to see if I can't combine the props file from the original v1.3 with the one from Bonesidian. I'm not sure what I would compile it against, but I can post the java file on here or paste bin if you'd like
