English isn't my native lang soo take my apologies for this.aaaand also excuse me for large pics.I donts know where's some spoilers.
And I don't see how trees float in mid air.
shut up its minecraft.
First of all, you don't need to flame. Second, there's a reason for that.
If every block would be affected by gravity, all houses and all tunnels would collaps, all the leaves from the trees would fall off, ect.
Sure, it's fantasy, so you have monsters of the night that explode, but roads that make you walk faster simply don't make sense.

like slowsand but boosting.
I read that already, so you don't need to tell me that, and still doesn't make sense.
Slowsand is like the real quicksand (yea haha stupid wordjoke -_-'), but this block doesn't show off anything at all that could possibly make you walk faster.
Dude, deep, spikey plants with grass makes you move slowly.
GOOD MOD! FancyPack have some kind of it, but there are only one road type.
I don't see what you mean with 'deep, spikey plants'.
I walk just as fast on grass as I do on stone as I do on roads, which are actually made of stone (most of the time)

The typical terrain of minecraft is wild grasses, newly shoveled dirt, new hewn stone. It makes sense that you could walk faster over a precisely crafted paved road than these other terrains. The only thing I would say is that it would also make sense to make walking on planks fractionally faster.
Your objection to the realism of this in the first place is ridiculous. It's a mod. You don't have to download or install it.

What's the point of new blocks if it's not compatible with the majority of mods here?
Hint: use Modloader.
Added block ids in desc.Hope theres not many mods with same block ids.
Ill use modloader in next release.
The problem are not the IDs.
It's because you are editing minecraft classes to add only these blocks. If you use Modloader, you don't need to edit them.
Traveling a road irl is much faster than traveling through trees, you may not physically go faster but in minecraft you can get anywhere the same speed, road or not so adding speed makes it a bit realistic
I would suggest you take clay out of the picture since its rather rare and a real pain to find. Also for the stone roads maybe use cobblestone instead of smoothstone? Right now it seems like too much effort would have to go into some road blocks for such a small reward. If it wasnt for that I would surely use this mod. :biggrin.gif:

Well, it needs work to get a fast walkway.
As for clay, you should search around beaches and you're bound to find quite some.
Clay is found in large clusters, and each block gives 4 clay or something (which you can convert into clayblock)
