Basically, DestroyGrass is a mod that instead of digging a whole block with grass on top of it, it just removes the grass leaving a dirt block there, thus some more realistic digging. Once MCP is done and I can understand the code a bit better, I'll probably make a way to instantly grow grass with the grass you dug. I'll most likely also make a version where grass doesn't grow, and a version where you get the grass you dug and grass doesn't grow, which would make about 4 choices of mods customized the way you want.
I don't really understand what this mod is about. What do you mean about more realistic digging? We're talking about grass which is on top of dirt blocks right? Do this mod make me able to dig that little piece of grass with a shovel and it will spawn a dirt block? How is that realistic? Or do you mean it will remove the grass leaving a bare dirt block left :\ ... And growing grass... May this be some sort of a precursor to the mods you have in mind creating? This grass growing mod, can I dig grass and "plant" it in a cave for instance? That would be cool since it would spawn animals i think. But, eeeh, I'm just guessing what you are trying to say now... I'm lost, I haven't slept for two days so that might be a factor, but please elaborate.
In my opinion, this seems more like an obstacle task than a usefull task, for one, the hoe already does this, and two, Dirt is already useless.
Maybe you could change this idea into something compatible with BetterGrass or Growing Grass, and instead have the mod make like transportable grass (just the grass texture). Again, it's pretty useless (to be blunt). You could put your skills (capacity or not) to work on one of the bigger mods, for example;
•Constructable NPCs (Golems, robots)
btw MC was designed to not be like reality so things that go against this look bad...

I would love to see this mod compatible with Growing Grass!!! I would love to destory chunks of grass from the surface of the world.
Also @above I feel minecraft can be any way a player molds it to be. Realism is a way some would like to play it. Others would like some more surreal effects, and even more others like to ease some of the pains of Vanilla. I play it a lot more adventurous than my friends who just lego-like build who play on peaceful w/o mods.
e.g. - Having mods like Humans+ or Mo' Mobs alters the gameplay of minecraft to a degree that focuses more on survival and NPC interaction where Vanilla MC "Survival" Beta seemed a little lack luster.
Anyway, I would love to have a merge .class or a patch that would allow this to be compatible with Wild Grass 5.3 (and hopefully with the BG/BL merged as well)
