HEY MAN! YOU ROCK!
One problem. I can't build the guns. I've tried to do it multiple times.
I have an in-game inventory editor that allows me to spawn loaded and non-loaded versions of your guns, BUT!
Once they are out of ammunition, I try to reload it. MY game won't let me! What the hell? I have WinRAR, Modloader, Audiomod, etc. What am I doing wrong? Please reply as soon as possible. It's ruining my fun.
I love this mod, and would like to make a suggestion to you for you: Cannons.
Cannon
Cannon Ball [] []
[] [] []
Explosive Cannon Ball
[] []
[] []
Contains 2 storage spaces, one for gp and one for cannon ball. You can't stack items in these spaces. Right click cannon to operate it. While operating, player cannot move but can rotate cannon to face any direction. Right-click to fire. After firing, player stops operating the cannon. Regular cannon ball will create a 3x3x1 crater in any material except obsidian, and instant kill any mob. Explosive Cannon Ball will create a 5x5x3 crater and kill mobs that are close enough while damaging slightly farther-away ones.

GENERATION 9: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
Can someone tell me if it will work with Single Player commands, and better light + Minimap + Grass
I don't use the sp commands, but I use it with betterlight/grass/simplemap andit did work fine. Just be sure to uninstall the existing mods when you add modloader, then reinstall them when modloader is ready, unless modloader is already on your computer.
And yes, I know my grammar sucks.

I really like this mod, I only wish reloading were easier. Could you possibly get the gun to automatically reload itself if you right click while empty and you have ammo in your inventory?

Had a thought. Since this mod has had all these talks about realism and ***** moan whine and so forth. I think I have a solution.
= 2nd level gun, the flintlock pistol, Bullet =
[] [] = [>>-i>] (Revolver)
[] [>>-i>] = 1 shot Gun, and then repeat up to six shots. Essentially, repeat the loading pattern. a 1 gun in it makes a 2 shot gun, on up to 6 shot guns. It works, considering that's how you used to have to load these things. One shot at a time. Gives you more action time, and it's fairly low-tech would work well.

Well, yes and no. While I applaud your idea, a single shot weapon loaded with multiple balls would just end up firing them in a (rather oversize) shotgun pattern. Until the mine-ball and rifling, the bullet was never very accurate, and until the most modern (weapons from the second world war, like my Lee Enfield Mk4 still have some rather large variance with the pattern) battle rifles, things just weren't 1 MOA or lower.
What you might want to do is add the ability to create an internal clip (as opposed to a removable magazine) that you stack rounds into, up to a maximum capacity dictated by how many resources you dump into a weapon. Then, you have the beginnings of an assault weapon without the overpowered nature of the STG or Avtomat Kalashnikova (AK) series rifle.
Even a bolt action (right click load/left click fire or somesuch) would be rather powerful in Minecraft as a weapon. The Brits used the rifle I own to good effect, a squad of British troopers could lay down a hail of fire equal or greater than most contemporary machineguns of the time. Ten rounds, requiring a manual reload (or if you really wanted to be lazy, a strip clip to ram all 5-10 rounds into the weapon at once) would make a contingency rifle for all occasions. Not something you'd want to rely on (the reload rate of a box-fed bolt action is far below what you may achieve with any modern 'assault weapon') in serious, 'Storm the Beaches' combat, but something that would certainly dig you out of a big encounter in the nether.
Of course, this is all just speculation--I know more C++ than Java, so I'm not going to be putting out a mod anytime soon...
But a Lee Enfield (I'd prefer a Martini rolling-block big bore rifle myself) would make for a rather balanced assault weapon when levied against the current monsters you'll find in the wild. Part of the reason the fixed magazine bolt-action has survived as an issue rifle for more than a century is the ability to dump a trooper with it and achieve results.

@Hood - No offense, sir, I do know most of that. I'm actually quite fond of early firearms technology, in the sense that I studied it extensively as a teenager (...I was a serious nerd... still kinda am.) and all that, I know.
But this is the easiest possible modification without going into 50 part modification/smelting/building patterns. OPTIMISTICALLY, a round would be made,

and then those'd be loaded up. But that makes the mod even LESS resource efficient that way. But on top of that, we're not talking reality here. What I posted would, given the setting of explosive bush monsters and eighty pound spiders, electrically significant magic dust, gateways to hell made out of broken pieces of obsidian, zombie pigmen, and a bearded man who drops delicious red apples? I think my idea is justifiably close enough to logical.

@Griff Morivan:
Your viewpoint here is good, but most people who complain about these weapons not being strong enough expect assault-capable weaponry, so it's better to try to add weapon that is both balanced and action-capable, instead of adding another weapon similar to the already existing ones, or to simply ignore these people.
THEN THEY GAY.
No, but seriously. If you're looking to make this game the wild west, this mod (plus my revolver idea, which I which I knew how to code) is what you're looking for. Otherwise, yeah, you're not playing minecraft, you're playing Lego Call of Duty.
i know you have gotten al lot of bad posts but this is a great balanced mod
Thank you fine sir
5 notches for you

If facebook, Myspage, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
Thanks a lot for helping me but I don't know how to load it lol. If you could tell me that would be great. Also about some other guns I think something like an M1 grande could be a good addition to the mod. maybe the recipe would be like this [] [] [] for the barrel of the gun then for the ammo placement like the middle
then
[] [] this would be the handle then you would put it all together like this [] [] []
[>>-i>]
[] [] []
[>>-i>] : the barrel : ammo placement thing :handle this would give you the rifle
to make the mag you would do this : bullets : iron lol this would give you 5 shots they would be pretty accurate but you can't stack mags like an other person said making it take a lot of you inventory. Also this would use a lot of iron to make making it pretty balanced I think. P.S. It seems that when I sneak it makes my shot more accurate.
Sure SDK has more and better guns, but this is intended to stay with the low-tech theme of minecraft.
