Cool, but I think you should make a house after placing a block then you click the block it then remembers the blocks edited and when redstone power is detected the changed block will dis-aper then with no power it comes back.

Lol, I just started working on something similar as the PortaHouse yesterday. Not done yet though. The house looks good in the pics. Is the PortaHouse a block or an item? And how do you get the house to generate, is it automatic? I would just test for myself, but I'm on my phone. You might want to consider making it ModLoader compatible though, increaed compatibility with other mods is always nice.

Nice work. :smile.gif:
Block
Place 'n' Click
Your mod creator also right?
Would you want to help me design a Porta-Block-Selector menu that allows you to right click the block and select what Porta-Object you want it to do when activated.
Also, how did you make it modloader compatible?
I am, yes. It seems like we have prett similar ideas for this. I was thinking about adding GUI to my block as well, to generate different houses.
I'm interested in helping out, but I'm very busy atm. That is, I have one more final exam, and then I'm off for a vacation. I might be able to squeeze in some time though. I would have to look into the GUI making in Minecraft though, I have very little experience with it. I have just barely glanced at it, specifically the parts where chests, furnaces and benches open a GUI. Anyway, I'm interested in helping out.
Risugami have provided javadocs for ModLoader in his thread. That's very helpful, and well documented.
You can download one of my mods (or any other mod that uses ModLoader) and decompile it. It should give you a basic understanding of how it works. That's how I got started.
I find it easier to use ModLoader when dealing with recipes, and creating new items. I would post some code and some examples, but as I mentioned, I don't have access to my computer now.
Does it break down into the porta-block if you try and destroy a part of it? If it doesn't, then isn't it basically just an infinite source of free wood and stuff?

It is but isn't...I'm going to try to make it so where when it breaks, it gets rid of all of it.But till then its just gonna be able to harvest wood from it...LoL...

This wouldn't be very hard to do.Just use buttons like I did for my Ingame InvEdit.
Each button could replace the block with a certain block.

Interesting...i'll try to implent that in v1.1
I'll look into how to make mods compatible with modloader.:biggrin.gif:
I suggest you make it slightly more complex
stick= fence
[]
balcony ^
= workstation
BTW I think the mods are cool :biggrin.gif:
adminium = workstation
double stair = iron door
log = balcony
My youtube
Ty.
Nice work. :smile.gif:

Porta-Series v0.1
-Adds Porta-Flattner!
ChickensREVIL! v0.3
-Chickens make noise when they attack.(need a custom noise)
Also, I got an idea.
Porta-Miner
Makes a shaft the size of the Porta-Flattner along with minecart trails on the sides, including a trail of 10 cobblestone so you can get minecarts.
Crafted like:
= Porta-Flattner
