INTRODUCING: Huge Slimes!
New spawner for the heroic miner
This is a mod that lets you make spawners that generate slimes. There are three different spawners for the different sizes of slimes: small, medium, and large and HUGE. Each one is crafted in a way that is difficult unless you are at a certain point in your game.
Small spawner:
= gunpowder, = water bucket, = brick blocks
This recipe requires that you have collected iron, killed a few creepers, and found a deposit of clay.
Medium spawner:
= redstone dust, = water bucket, = mossy cobblestone
This recipe requires that you are a little farther in your game that the first recipe. You need to have collected redstone and found at least one dungeon.
Large spawner:
= lightstone dust, = water bucket, = obsidian
The hardest spawner to make requires a diamond pick to harvest obsidian, as well as a visit to the Nether.
Huge spawner:
OR
= small spawner, = medium spawner, = large spawner WARNING: HUGE SLIMES NEED A LARGE SPACE TO SPAWN (4x4x4) AND ARE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SPAWN UNLESS SUFFICIENTLY PREPARED.
Slimes spawn similar to a mob spawner with a somewhat higher delay between spawns.
Note: The medium and large slimes will not spawn unless your difficulty is above peaceful. Small slimes can spawn on peaceful because they do no damage.
Installation is the same as other mods. Remember to delete your META-INF folder!
The textures of the blocks can be changed by editing the files in the gui folder.
Please post with any bugs, suggestions, etc.
Hooray! The slimespawners are out! A suggestion, I do believe there is a slime size bigger than large, called a huge slime, it says so on minepedia, maybe you could try your hand at making one for that?

I saw that after I had released it. However, I'm not quite sure how they got that information, because Minecraft can only spawn 3 different slime sizes. Unless he's changed the spawning code since they put that up, I'm not sure where they came up with that. It might be a feature in the next release, as it would be fairly easy to implement. In fact, it would only be adding a few lines of code into one file, and then making a texture to go along with it.
In case anyone noticed, the recipes used for crafting were messed up. This version fixes them.
Since this was an emergency update, I still haven't include "huge" slimes yet. That'll probably be for 1.2.6.2, whenever I get around to it.

Good t know that th spawners are fixed, unfortunately I couldn't have known, I'm still figuring out how to add it to the game. And you have a video, and the spawners look really epicified!

Sorry, I should explain it better than "same as other mods."
To add this to you game:
1) Go to your minecraft bin folder (type %AppData%\.minecraft\bin into Windows Explorer).
2) Using a program like WinRAR or 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/), open the minecraft.jar file (7zip: Right click minecraft.jar, click 7zip, and then click the first Open Archive).
3) Download my mod and extract the files from the zip. The zip should open in Windows Explorer, so just drag and drop them into a temporary folder on your desktop.
4) Drag the files from the mod folder (the 3 ".class" files and the "gui" folder) onto the 7zip window.
5) Click on the META-INF folder in the 7zip window and hit delete.
6) Close the 7zip window, delete the temp folder if necessary, and run Minecraft.
Good Luck!

Okay, I followed every step except number 2. Which one is the .jar? This is the only problem I ever had with installing mods. The .jar file's specific name, is it just minecraft.jar? I don't see any .jar file at all. I have always been stumped by this. ALWAYS.
And Crory, what was that part of your house made of? It could just be 1 specific block type tha impulse somehow replaced it's code wth water, through accidental means. (Or maybe on purpose...)
Okay, I am now newly stumped. I deleted the metainf folder but there was no 7zip window. So this confuses me on so many different scales.
So seeing as theres no 7zip window, I can't place you files in it and thus can't do this at all. Unless theres something that I completely misinterpreted.

Yay, now I'm one step closer to finishing my zoo of hacked in spawners. Now I can have pet slimes without them despawning =D Now I just need a ghast spawner.

Ghast spawners come with MCEdit. That might help you.
And also, I tihink I figured out what was wrong. Apparently I deleted all of the Manifest folder, so now I can't have any mods until I redownload minecraft. Off I go then!
And 7zip still doesnt have its own window, and I still neglect the apostrophe.

This mod
Gave me slimes.
Increased level loading time x10.
Does not allow me to use sound.
Made the game really laggy.
I'm sorry, but I have no idea what could be causing that for you. I've tested the mod and it works just fine for me.
Is it possible you didn't install the mod correctly?
Angel_Of_Light: Is it possible that you can get on IRC? I can help you a lot faster that way than through the forums. I'm in the channel #Risucraft on Espernet (irc://irc.esper.net/risucraft)

I wish I could, but I just tried and it said The webpage could not be displayed, and I need to install a program to view it. So I click on the link to search for the program, and it just brings me to a webpage that doesn't help at all, so I don't know. II'll just use the search bar and search how to install a mod. I'm sure there's some thread on it.
Good luck with updating your slime mod!
