Valance, creator of the popular Paint Your Blocks mod has generously given me permission to integrate his colorizer methods. As a result, here's a preview of what's coming in the next update: Dyes!
The pastel colors will probably have to be removed though, due to metadata limitations in the engine itself.
That's awesome. Will you be able to dye all the blocks Paint Your Blocks can, or just cloth?

Almost all the same blocks. Only a very select few will be disabled in FancyPack, namely the ones that now employ added metadata (for example, halfblocks). However, you will be able to paint new blocks, including but not limited to roads, cages, fancy stone, and pots.
OMG! I nearly died right here and now when I first saw this. I am getting it now! Oh and please, take all the diamonds I have. U are a much more worthy owner.
This is an awesome mod :smile.gif: Very glad that so much is being done to help with compatibility too.
I was wondering if there is a marble compatible version of the extended farming module tho, as the marble texture and the plants are in the same locations on the terrain file? And the grass growing mod too, it's in the same place as some extended farming items too.
Actually, it would be awesome to incorporate marble into this, all the items you can make with the fancy pack, imagine you could also make marble ones too...............
That would be incredibly awesome, and would definitely spruce up my marble palaces, but with the limits on block id's i don't know if it could be done :sad.gif:

You are just amazing man!
I always wanted chair to be integred in minecraft and now... my wish is real :biggrin.gif:!
Thank 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times.
I'm afraid to play singleplayer with this activated.... Herobrine's code was activated. I know it's only coding.... But it's just too freaky to ignore!
Could you please make a 303's arrows compatible verion of the farming? They share a lot of IDs. :S I only tried mushroom and grass seeds, those didn't work right. (mushroom = fire arrow, grass = torch arrow...)
This was fixed in the 1.2 update already. Read the thread.
Try starting a new game. If the conflict already existed in your old game it may not be fully resolved.
Regardless, seed items use values 1777-1782, which I can guarantee are different from the special arrows.

Oh. Very weird... I never used any other version of this mod. I use a hellalot of other mods though, but none of them add new items and/or blocks except the arrows. :S
Wait a minute... did you actually make sure the items you were picking up were arrows, and not just items that LOOKED like arrows? Did you actually try using them, either as arrows or seeds?
The most likely solution is that the arrow mod is simply overwriting the seed texture. Which means the seeds work, and don't conflict, they just look like arrows because the arrow mod is overwriting the basic texture.
This too will be resolved in the next patch, hopefully. It's an inherent problem with how ModLoader determines which tiles already have textures. It only makes exceptions for vanilla textures, and freely overwrites other mods that have hard-set textures. In the next patch, the textures will be more out of the way to hopefully avoid such an overlap.
New Release! V.1.3 is here! Get it here!
What's new?
On a technical level, this update is a massive optimization. Furniture now takes up 5 blockIDs instead of 15, chimneys and dyed cloth have likewise been reduced, and so on. This makes for MUCH more space in blockIDs, which have been adjusted to make the mod as compatible as possible with existing mods that add new blockIDs, like Controller Blocks and so on!
Further, all textures and icons have been separated out from their respective PNGs, which means this will now work with ANY texture pack, no work required. The default FancyPack textures will be used for all the new blocks and icons, but all of your original textures won't be changed! Further, it's easier than ever to edit the new icons and textures, because each one is conveniently sorted into its own specific file, and labeled neatly for easy editing.
FancyPack is more simple and compatible than ever!
In terms of features, we have a couple new attractions. Two new furniture sets, Log and Hellstone:
And courtesy of Valance and his amazing Colorizer classes and methods, craftable Dyes!
You have 7 different colors to choose from, crafted from the available flowers.
If you have Expanded Farming on to grow black flowers, you'll be able to make 8 more types of dye!
In addition to the blocks that you can paint in Paint Your Blocks, you can also dye many of the new blocks, including pots, roads, fancystone, and metal fences.
Minor changes:
Chimney recipe has changed.
Saddles can now be crafted!
Skeletons drop more bones.
And more!
V.1.3 is probably going to be the last major update to the FancyPack. There will be fixes when Notch releases new updates so it will remain compatible, there may be minor bugfixes for things I've accidentally broken, and I may make a few hotfixes that shift around the BlockIDs so it doesn't conflict with other mods that add new blocks. But for the most part, this is the last major update the FancyPack will see!
Let me know how it works!
Severe warning about FancyPack.
Please be warned that this new version changes the IDs of pretty much every single block that was introduced by the FancyPack. This means that if you will probably have to start a new world, unless either you weren't using FancyPack at all, or you were using it but hadn't placed any of the new blocks. Alternately, you can destroy ALL your new FancyPack blocks (furniture, cages, chains, roads, growing plants, etc.) by throwing them in lava or tossing them on the ground and waiting till they disappear, then save and update to the new version.
Items shouldn't have this problem however.
Either way, always back up your worlds before modding!
The good news is this should be the last time you have to do this ever with FancyPack, barring some sort of catastrophic problem or update of about a dozen blocks in the vanilla version.
