As a request I made a small Bacon Blocks mod which adds, well, Bacon Blocks! You make them with 9 Cooked Bacon in the Crafting Bench, and can be used to efficiently store Bacon. You can also make houses out of them.
When you place a Bacon Block inside the Crafting Bench, it will return 9 Cooked Bacon which is stacked. Raw Bacon Blocks can also be cooked in the furnace.
Credit to Lahwran for making the Bacon Block texture. Also, this mod NOW REQUIRES MOD LOADER.

what if you can set fire to the uncooked bacon blocks? It would yield a cooked bacon block! But if you're not watchful and unable to put out the fire when it changes to a cooked bacon block, the hard earned bacon disappears!

I didn't think this was a very good idea until I saw codewarrior's video, and then I thought this was the most hysterically attention-demanding mod at the time. Slaughterhouse in the Nether seems like a bad choice though, but maybe I'm the only one that that doesn't think Ice would have a hard time down there.

First off, get 9 grilled steak in your inventory. Craft it into a bacon block.
Then, hack your inventory to give you 64 of the bacon blocks.
You are now holding 576 grilled steak.
If you're in a hurry, skip to 1:18 to see the Bacon Block.
