Bucyruss is going to update his BiomeTerrain mod today when he finishes working on a few new features, so hopefully in the next few hours or so we will have one of the more popular mods ready :smile.gif:

We already have an unofficially fixed 303's modloader, but no mods to go with it. I'm glad a popular mod is popping up in this day. On the halloween update, people were all ready for it, and automatically started fixing their mods for it.
First day with an update where I cannot find any compatible mods.
I hate it.
EVERY big update (1.xx_z to 1.yy_z) breaks mods. 1.xx_y to 1.xx_z updates don't, but those are less common, usually when Notch updates, it's a big fix or new features.
It's not "Notch thinks mods are bad" that breaks the mods, it's "There's been a major code change, so the mods are incompatible until someone fixes them".
Calm the **** down.
You're shitty pew pew mod will be working again when the dumb ass coder fixes it. Notch fixed **** you can survive two days without your crappy mod.
You should be praising notch not scolding him.
He does good, you soil your diaper.
He never updates you would get tired of your petty mod and cry for an update. Then soil your diaper when the update destroys the pile of excrimant you call a "mod"
Cry else where. Minecraft is a game for real men.
Calm the **** down.

It is this thread and people like this that made me want to get the signature I have. I think people with a damaged ventromedial prefrontal cortex are attracted to making posts on forums.

Hmm...
Just tell me. What mod are you talking about?

In a short term way that isnt so stern:
Mods are not what make minecraft. Calm yourself. You will indeed last another heartbeat without you're mod for a day.
HOPEFULLY Notch will realize that Minecraft isn't really Minecraft without mods for some people :|
NOTCH updates MINECRAFT. MODDERS update MODS. Don't blame Notch for that. :tongue.gif: Try experiencing the magic of VANILLA Minecraft every once in a while if you feel that way about mods, because honestly if you do, you're spoiled.
Not to be Rash. But Newbies and Oldbies alike need to understand this concept. Mods aren't a part of Minecraft. They are a privilege and are optional.
I guess this point has been addressed but I'll throw in my two cents anyways.
Calm the **** down.

Dude, ouch.
I see where you're coming from, but everybody sees something a little different in the game that turns their crank.
For some, it's the building aspect, and after a time, it's easy to get some really big ideas. When that happens, (and if you're more about building than surviving), some of those mods can really make it a little easier to realize the vision. Look at some of the creations on YouTube videos. You think those would've been done without a way to fly around and access the hard-to-reach portions of the build? Doubtful, as many would lose interest when the effort involved would result in many real hours of effort. Sure, the argument could be made that a mega-castle made without modding the game might bring more sense of achievement when finished, but for some, that's not the point. Some folks just want to conjure up stuff for the sake of "doodling".
For others who like to explore, they might be perfectly happy with the defaults. EXCEPT for when it comes to getting from the spawn point back to where they died from that damned sneaky Creeper. Minecarts are awesome, but building a long distance system is a pain when you have to deal with creating artificial hills and booster assemblies, and all you really wanted to do was just quickly get back to where you were.
Maybe some of the things that mods introduce are already being planned for future versions of the game. Heck, some of them might even give Notch and Co. some new ideas for new stuff themselves!
Either way, mods can be a great way to get that feature that you personally might want in the game, but might never have if you relied solely on the game developer.
I guess my point is that maybe you should switch to decaf and give the mod authors a bit of a break, huh? Some of them have obviously been just as focused on adding more fun to the game as Notch has been about the game itself.

Notice how he only joined a day after the other and has more than twice as many posts on the forum even though he said that. (:
EDIT: By the way, if not having mods bothers you that much, keep a backup of the previous version with your mods installed and play offline with that. Problem solved you have all of your mods.
I hate it.
EDIT:
Day after, and a new update that just fixed multiplayer crap and messed up singleplayer mods.

Seriously??? i mean... seriously...???
what the ****?!?!? are you stupid???
Notch realizes that already, but he knows that updated the GAME ITSELF is more important...
Use common sense for a change!!!
