Would it be possible to bring back the old way to smelt (throwing stuff in lava) with modding? if so > MEH WANT.

how do you keep the lava from falling on the water?... also, what are you referencing with old way?

I think they mean: Throw the unsmelted ore into a flame, and it turns into a metal bar

actually, I'd love to see the old way to smelt back.. how we had to build a forge, and use some peices of wood on fire to smelt..

basically he wants popcorn smelting :smile.gif: dont get you're hopes up...ive been tinkering with the codes and stuff trying to make this kind of mod...so far just a bit of luck. i found where it destroys the object when it hits fire and stopped that. (as i said, this is for fire,if fire works ill do lava) so now i need to make it so it will remove it but give back a different block xD hard..my brains hurt

idk its just a quick example lol.what i mean is get the lets say, steel into some flame or lava, then collect as iron.

i switched to lava (dont ask why) and i got it to have the popping function (where stuff hops around in it. Now im trying to manage to add so it will remove the poping item and replace with the bar
example: gold ore to gold bar

so umm hey did u ever get this to work? i would love nothing more then the old way to smelt.
