So someone started a thread about makign a black and white texture pack, i was interested, but little did i know it was ONLY black and white. So i've decided to make my own :smile.gif:
Its going to be pretty simple seeing you cant get too much detail in 16x16 grey-scale without losing what it is you are looking at. So ive kept the textures pretty simple.I figured that with the lack of color i need a way to make objects easily distinguishable from one another so Im keeping similar types of objects well similar, stone has the same sort of texture characteristics as all stone-like materials just so you can tell them easily apart from other materials such as dirt.
Unless you really like it i cant say many would like to use this as texture pack you always use so its sort of an art project for me. It changes the feel for the game a little bit, pushes it more to aesthetics but that might just be me.
Only started this about 3 hours ago so not much is done.

Entrance to my fortress.
Any critic would be welcome :smile.gif:
I can change the liquids. Will do it at a later stage though.
The sky i dont think i can unfortunately. If anyone knows how i'd love to know.
That's why i liked The Saboteur.
