looks sweet, it'd be cool if there was some kind of integration with the existing spiders though.
Also, do nests spawn in already generated parts of the world?

Why were you getting your hopes up? Set a low bar, and you won't be disappointed.

Nope, nests only appear in newly generated parts of the world, and the new spiders only spawn from those nests. And keeping them seperate from other monsters maximizes compatibility with other mods.
Oh god...entered a new cave and found two spider spawners. Saw the big momma spider and out of natural paranoia I hit it. It was zombie pigmen all over again.
Anyway, for the purpose of science, what is the data value(s) of the spider eggs/nest block?

Right, I know what you mean. The block ID is 116. Seriously, we need to get that block limit increased somehow...
And the eggs are 6647 but that's basically irrelevant.
Tehe...I will NEVER use this mod because I actually do have arachnophobia. I modded my own game to keep spiders from spawning naturally for that reason. (I allowed them to still spawn out of spawner blocks though, and with craftable spawners I made a string farm far from my base to avoid spiders and still be able to get string. :tongue.gif:
But I do love the idea, its very creative. :smile.gif: A cool twist though would be the ability to pick up baby spider corpses to be able to cook and eat, like in many primitive cultures. O_o

Ok, you have arachnophobia and you can't stand spiders and all (like me) but eating spiders its perfectly fine?
This looks to be an awesome mod! Well done. It's just a pity there aren't more mob monsters to choose from that could give birth to young. It would add a whole knew angle to Minecraft. Even with the domesticated mobs, just a little variety in size amongst creatures would add to the experience!
Thanks for working on this and sharing! :smile.gif:
i think how this mod would be playable for me (since im a little baby when it comes to giant spiders...)
If it somehow disables the normal spiders from the game and instead you use this spider mod, it would be pretty f*kin scary, but at least i would know when to except it to happen... instead of... you know... ALL THE TIME.
That would be a nice variation for the masochist arachnophobics.
I wanna fill some dudes house with these. >:3
Next: Baby Creepers!!

You get (e^pi)-pi internetz. And a cookie.
And maybe a hug, no homo (if you're a boy).
My website: http://timeroot.zxq.net/
...I have nothing else to put here, sadly. :-(
Installing it into my game right now. \o

I'd appreciate it if anyone took the time to do a video. Once I patch it after the next update, and fix a bug or two, I might make a video myself.
