As I have a 32x32 terrain and 16x16 items, this mod does not work for me.
Good sir, you may want to inform others by changing the title description to inform people that you have to have 32x32 or greater item resolutions required for this to work. As it stands right now, it seems like the title is referring to the terrain size, and not the items.
This is a more proper title atm : " 32x32+ Items Fix for Watch" or something of the like.
How's that?
The stock items are at a 256x256 pixel size file. Doku's old items are of this size, which is the pack I use, modified by myself. The terrain is 32x32(512x), but the items are the old 16x16(256x) size. So when people list "texture packs", they list them by saying the texture size based on the terrain.png.
By starting your thread with: Watch and Portal HD Fix - For 32x32, 64x64, and 128x128 you may unintentionally mislead people into thinking that you are fixing the watches for packs that use 32x32 terrain.
There are a few packs out there with larger, detailed terrain files, but the items remain unchanged at the old resolution. Such as the popular GeruDoku's for instance.
GeruDoku users still have to use Xua's HD fix, so it throws off the way the Watch/Portals look.
So you can imagine that you might have a flood of users who use that texture pack coming in here and saying "It doesn't work, you said 32x32 fix! Snarl! Curse! Pew, pew!" Just trying to save you a headache is all....

Allright, but I asked you if you think it's good NOW. I changed the title to
Watch and Portal Fix For items.png at 32 64 and 128

Somehow its just not as flashy as it was before =(
But...the title is far less misleading, and I'm hoping that it will save you headaches in the future. I hope I'm not coming off as a total jack. Just trying to help you!
Here, have a diamond!
(EDIT)
Hey, would you mind posting up your 32x32(512) items? Not in the main post, but down here amongst the lesser posts. I'm just curious to see what your items look like :smile.gif:
This is so kick ass thanks so much two major fixes in one day woot, anyway we could get this in a patcher that way we're not distributing class files?
I thought I read somewhere that it was fine to distribute patched class files as long as it's no where enough to actually run the game.

Zelda styled.
Nabbed most of these from a thread here on the minecraft forums. My terrain uses mostly that one RPG pack but also uses a couple of that one zelda overhaul that came with the items.
That's not all of them though, because some of them are icon overrides from added mods. The tools in my inventory are obsidian tools I've recolored from the current items.png above. I'm making textures to fit the armors such as zora armor, magic armor, etc. I'm not done with my textures either. The hookshot sprite is mine tho which serves as a replacement for that one guy's hookshot mod.
I know you're probably laughing at me for not actually knowing the names of the people who made them but I'm new here, you guys SHOULD know who I'm talking about, and I'd have to search.
Actually, you may want to split up your posts into two different sections:
• Watch Fix post
and a separate
• Portal Fix post
The portal goes off the terrain.png, which anyone who's having issues should have a modded 32x32(512) or greater, and this solves it.
The watch off the item.png we already covered all that jazz.
Just make a link leading between the both of them.
Anyways, thanks for posting your items :smile.gif: I've seen Zora's work and its just not my taste, but it is a great work unto itself for sure :smile.gif: Thanks for all your time, good sir!
When I install the Watch Fix it seems to turn many of my other item icons blank - I think this is because all those items in items.png are being overwritten by the fix.
Any help on combining one with the other?
[edit] Oh man I figured it out. I am so proud of myself. GIMP to the rescue!

I meant I'm working on the actual armor skins. The icons were part of the zelda overhaul I downloaded. I haven't shown the zora stuff I made.
It's the Doku 32x32.
Odd thing is, after removing my Bin folder and redownloading it... the Portal works again, along with the watch.
But the portal doesn't move. It's just there.
I've tracked the error to being caused by out of bounds access of the pixel data array. Trying to find out exactly what's wrong since there shouldn't be anything(obviously not going to be that easy). The 64 and 128 watch fixs will probably have to wait till tomorrow at least. Gotta get up earlier and earlier for starting a new job in a couple days.
hi there, i'm just wondering, i'm using a mix or dante80 albion's 64x64 texture pack and misa's 64x64 texture pack, i want to edit the items.pny but everytime i do, the watch stops working, please could you make a 64x64 version?
That has nothing to do with this mod all this mod was, was a temporary fix for xau's patcher, It sounds to me like you're having more of a texture issues.
You have to make sure you leave the "pink" area this is where the watch allows the "dial.png to render, if your leaving the pink area transparent or w/e else it won't work.

what resolution did you use. And what resolution is your terrain.png. Check in the jar and in your texture pack if you're using one
