Not much here just yet. Started working on prefix zombies, got a Zombie Nazi (It's all the rage, dontcha know?!) and did a knight zombie, too.
I only have textures for frenden's pack right now (well, my edited version of frenden's pack), but I'm working on making textures for default and if you want them in your game I can work with you to get it into your texture pack, just send me the zombie.png from the mobs folder.
At this moment, the zombie nazi runs as fast as a spider, hits twice as hard as a regular zombie ( 5 hearts on normal, instead of 2.5) and has twice as much life (4 hits with diamond sword on normal). He drops a gold bar, and appears less than 3% of the time zombies are spawned.
The knight zombie moves slower than a regular zombie, but can have between 95 and 110 health (again, a diamond sword hits for 10). His attack goes from 15 (7.5 hearts) up to 20 (all 10 hearts, hope you have armor) and drops diamond on death. He appears less than 1% of the time zombies are spawned.
if knight is so hard make him almost as rare as diamond and if nazi zombie is so fast keep him a little less often than zombies. Please also make more "Minecraft" Friendly ideas for zombies IE: Nazi Zombie doesnt really fit minecraft no matter how fun COD is.

OP, ignore this man, for the most of it.
Change the Nazi zombie into something a bit more "Speed" related.

But this is just perfect as is.
Nazi Zombie was a joke that started in reddit image here and I just ended up making it that way. It's my first mod, and first time working with java in a long while, so I just started with something a little silly. :biggrin.gif: Probably going to do this for all mods, and make multiple skins so you can have a herd of cows that look a little different and are each a bit unique (faster, drop more, stuff like that).
Think it would be too hard to apply this mod globally to all the enemies?
Also, maybe change their size? (so we could have small, weaker spiders, and maybe even a giant queen/shelob type spider that's a 1 in 1000 type of enemy?)
This is a great addition, but i think they are too hard to find. I've only seen the nazi zombie once in a dungeon. You should make them spawn at a higher rate. Otherwise, I like to see that there are finally new enemies to fight.
Great mod! I'm addicted like crack to the prefix skeletons, and this just seems to add to the flavor of it all as I now have constantly different skeletons and two rare yet tough zombies to fight. Epic!
One thing though, I tried changing the zombies skins to something more painterly, but I ended up totally removing them. Was there a folder or something I was supposed to add? I feel like it's something very simple, I just can't figure it out.
I want to use this mod so much, but it's kind of pointless having it installed.
Is there any way for you to make a custom spawn rate for me? I mean like..
Nazi Zombies spawn 35% of the time.
Knight Zombies spawn 25% of the time.
I absolutely love this idea, but if I'm not going to see these mobs for every 100 regular mobs, then there's no point. So yeah man, I've love for you to do this for me. I can't find any way to do this myself.
I'll send you a PM with a slightly raised spawn rate, and I'll raise the spawn rate on them overall in a bit when I get the chance. If I raise the rate too much, I'm worried that people will get too many diamonds.

It's easy enough to do, something I've been planning. I'm going to make more zombies as well as make size variations. It's not all that hard to do at all, really. :biggrin.gif:

I'll definitely do that, it's been mentioned a few times.

The zombie skins go in the /mobs/ folder in the minecraft.jar. Right now it's zombienazi.png and zombieknight.png.
open the .jar with winrar and place a skin for the zombies in the mobs folder.

Shoulda mentioned I already did that. zombienazi and zombieknight, both png format. Should they be bitmap or somethin? Or did I just screw the names up somehow?
XD At least an invisible knight got the opportunity to wreck me already.
Oh FML. MOBS folder...I've been putting them in the MODS folder one would have if they use the prefix skeletons.

Works with v1.2.2, doesn't require modloader, replaces no.class and adds no_type.class. You'll need to add files to the /mobs/ folder in the jar. zombienazi.png (http://i.imgur.com/TFtI8.jpg) and zombieknight.png (http://i.imgur.com/bPyLW.jpg).
I'm looking into it. This is my first day back doing java in years. I know it's possible, just a pain.
Right now nazi will drop gold bar, and knight (bless your soul if you run into him) will drop diamond.

Working on making skins for frenden's pack for more mobs, then looking into size variations.
