Furthermore, I vote you release a separate version with 303's modified ModLoader support. If necessary, I'll even make the changes for you, since I'm already doing so to the copy I downloaded. =)

EDIT: Changed the item IDs to 801 and 802. If you already have a hookshot with the old version and don't have 303's arrows, delete the hookshot from your inventory. Otherwise, this replacement will break your save.

Just to explain what causes this 'bug' (it's not really a bug):
The grappling hook uses the custom texture from Cheeseyx as an item. When fired, it acts similar to a fishing rod (that's why the stick is there) but the line shoots straight. The stick is just the fishing rod stick, but with a different function applied to it :tongue.gif:

Okay, so i do the instuction you posted and i get a black screen. I just updated my Java. Also I ra the console on the mac and i got this line which may or may not be the problem:

If this doesn't give enough info, i can copy and paste more in..
mine dont work does it have to have risugamis mod loader because i have 303's and it wont work every time i try to make the grappling thing if it only works with risugamis can u please make it work for both so i can use it with 303 modloader cuz i have 303's arrow mod and it requires 303's mod loader and i dont wont to lose my awesome arrows.
The reason it turns into a stick is because that was my final change to make, but it would require me editing another class (cc.class) and when I recompiled it with the change, I got a lot of errors from Notch's portion of the code, and didn't want to try and fix them, so I released it without changing that.
If you are having problems: Reread the first post in its entirety, and try again. If that doesn't fix it, try reading some of the posts in this thread (specifically mine, Assassains4hire's, and Combine_Kegans). If that does not fix your problem, try re-downloading minecraft, deleting the meta-inf folder, and installing the most updated version of either Risugami's modloader, or 303's modloader and then running minecraft. If Minecraft doesn't work with modloader as the only mod, then I cannot help you.
Heeey, i think this is totally awesome, but i cant succed to download it,i press that Download button then Extract everysingle file, but then i dont know what to do :S
