303's arrow mods, and other item mods are capable of pulling images from individual image files, why not reprogram this in that way so that I don't have to go through every single texture mod I have and add your hookshot in?
This is Cheesey's first mod.
He's eager to create new ones, which I don't blame him :tongue.gif:
If any ideas pop in my head how to do this, I'll make it and post it to help people install it.
But for now, it's nothing.

I could do it using 303's modloader to make it load from a different image, but I prefer to have it compatable with both versions of modloader.
ousire, did you remember to delete meta-inf? If so, I don't know what to do. If not, try doing that and seeing if it works.
i've deleted meta-inf every single time i've done the process.
do all the files go into the .jar itself, or inside one of the files INSIDE the .jar? the new items image goes into the gui file, but all the rest are into the main area of the .jar?

i used the ingame texture pack thing, clicked the open texture folder, and it led me to the files, thats the only way so far to do it, as Appdata dosent exist on my comp (it does, but i cant find it)
Okay, seriously stop bitching at people. Their suggestions are RIGHT and you obviously CAN access those files then, you just don't know HOW. Click Start then click Run then enter %appdata% and push Enter then look for a folder called .minecraft and open it. Now for simplicities sake just delete the BIN folder.
On topic: a hookshot! Was just thinking minecraft needed one of those. :smile.gif:

They are dragged into the .jar once it is open with something like winRAR, replacing some files and adding new ones.

thats what i thought. so it seems i've been putting all the files into the right place even

I have the same problem, and I've been doing that.
I've tried using 303's mod loader, I've dragged the files and I've opened the .jar and added the files with winrar. I always delete META-INF.
I still get a black screen after I log in.
that was insanely easy to do D: damn dude nice mod! not to make some crazy worlds and explore xD this is gonna be awesome! (using biome modifications to do so.)
Well, I don't know what to do... Does minecraft even work for you without mods?
It works fine without mods, and I can run it with the Biome Generator.
Odd, but if you can't run minecraft with modloader and without my mod, it something wrong with either your version of minecraft, your version of modloader, or your computer.

Nothing should be wrong with my computer, I wiped my hard-drive and Re-installed windows a few days ago. I don't exactly know what modloader does or why it doesn't work, but I've been downloading it from the link in your OP.

Hm... Are you using the most updated minecraft files/launcher/version of modloader?
I redownloaded my "bin" folder, Hookshot, and both Mod Loaders maybe 10 minutes ago.

Go to %appdata% and then .minecraft, and then find minecraft.jar in one of those folders.
I put a premade version for the default texture at the bottom of the first post.
