What other mods do you use and have you deleted the meta-inf folder?
i have ZERO mods, not even any texture packs installed or anything and have deleted and reinstalled the files. and yes, i made sure to delete the entire meta-inf folder
What version of MineCraft are you using?
I'm heading to bed, so here's possible solutions:
-Your Java version might be out of date (unlikely)
-Your MineCraft version might be out of date
-You might be doing something wrong when installing the mod
-There could be a problem when you're using the mod loader
-make sure to put the ModLodaer in first, then Cheeseyx's mod
I know for a fact that it is not the mods fault in any case, i can not use ANY mod that requires 303's or risugamis' [Sry if i spelled the name wrong :/] mod loader, for the simple fact none of them work, i haver the problem, where after the 'updating minecraft' scren, it just goes black, so i just backed it up, and i am unable to use any mod wthat requires the mod loaders :/

Do you know if the mod loader you're downloading is up to date?

Yea, going with the guy that made the UFO, i just go to the tops of trees and make me an inverted pyramid, then capit off with a normal pyramid, then proceed to build off it. I also us it to KILL SHEEP AND MOBS AND STUFF, becuase it hits for one damage and pulls out for another. it seems to kill my cows in 2 hits, one in, then it kills on the way out.

The default id would be 388, but if you used the one released to not conflict with the dirt arrow mod, it would be 801.
These are awesome looking mods, but do you think you could make it so that the hookshot has a set number of uses, as well as limiting how far it will reach? I'd like to download it, but it seems a bit too exploitative at the moment for my tastes.

The hookshot does have a limit, though very far. I will not be putting a set number of uses on it.
The staff fires a magic ball on right click, that fires straight and does two hearts of damage. It has 32 uses before it needs to be recharged (it can't be used when it is out of uses, so you can't accidentally break it.)
you should combine the staff mod with the emerald mod... the two seem to be 100% compatible each other...
I see why you would think that, but it isn't using emeralds for magic as much as it is as a highly useful material that can create runes and repair.
still it would be great if those two mods are together... since the emerald apparently is oriented to magic properties or "power up" properties... i don't know... maybe its just me...
Love this one, but I think crafting it needs to be slightly more involved. Maybe involve some of the steps of the grappling hook mod. Either that or make it single use only.

I will be changing the crafting for the second release, but keep in mind that I am designing it how I want it, not how you think is most balanced. That's why I am not going to make it arc, and why it isn't going to have a limited durability.
Dude, I totally respect that and I'm with you on it.
My perspective is simply this, if you make a balanced object it's less likely to break the gameplay, meaning Minecraft will still be fun to play with your mod, not just play with. Consequently people will recommend it to others to play and you'll have a broader audience playing it. And who knows, serving up something that's fun and balanced, you could end up impressing Notch and get your mod added to the actual game. Nerd points ++.
If you could make a video on how to install both the mod loader and the hook shot, it would stop constant posts about unique problems when they can see they have followed instructions!
