1) Make it so you have to put ammo in it for it to work. It would balance things out a bit. Right now, its:
*Spends 15 minutes mining for iron ore, 30 seconds smelting the iron, 10 minutes hunting creepers, 1 minute collecting sand, and 2 minutes putting it all together to make a god gun.*
Haha. :smile.gif:
2) If you use the first suggestion, take the TNT out of the recipe, and to make it even more balanced, perhaps change it to something like this:

I plan on doing this. I just wanted to get something working, though. Eventually, I would like it to be such that you can load any item in, for most it just throws the corresponding loose item, and for arrows, snowballs, and TNT it throws their "activated" counterparts.
I notice an evolution in power in your mods, you start out with dirt armor and your newest mod involves cannons and massive destruction, whats next? a nuke? XD
By the way, I saw in your description that you were talking about a face painted like a furnace, so I guessed you aren't using any custom texture for this, so I decided to whip up a custom texture for you. I made it in like 10 minutes using the default stone texture, but I don't think it came out too bad.
The first is the terrain.png with the included texture. The second is just the cannon.
It includes a front, back, and sides/top/bottom. I was gonna put more customization like wheels on the bottom/sides, but I wanted to keep it to under four pieces.
Use it if you like (and know how, of course). If not, I understand. I was just bored. :smile.gif:

@Timeroot: Thanks a ton for the modding info, i'll try some of it out when i get some time.
Nice work on the redstone cannon as-well, it's ****ing sweet!
I agree it'd be good to have some ammo system for it though, maybe open it like a furnace and only have one space where you put tnt, or whatevs.
Also, those textures look nice Roundaround, i hope they get implemented to complete this unique and epic mod.

for the AutoCanopy mod how would u plant it for it to work like the sapling in the ground then dirt on top or the sapling on top of the ground then dirt.. explane mour pleas
You craft a block, nothing to do with placing the sapling.
you put dirt above your sapling in the crafting grid.
this creates the growth block, which you then just place on the ground like any other block, then it grows leaves.
EDIT:
sweet mod btw,
a few questions:
- Does the initial growth block appear grey (black and white) when placed on the ground?
- Can you destroy the initial growth block and have the rest of the canopy stay intact/keep growing?
- Does the growth continue until it consumes the planet like the infection block or does it stop when it reaches a certain size or limit?

Yes, it is grey. I originally intended for it to appear like leaves, but when I realized it was grey because I hadn't taken the color from the biome, I thought it was a happy coincidence that left it somewhat visible - so I left it alone.
Yes, you can destroy the initial block. Each grey block grows independently, and the green leaves are a "trail" that will remain afterwards.
It works very much like the infection block. It will grow indefinitely.
AutoCanopy works really well... if you don't have DecayingLeaves installed. Any chance you could have it add in a log block every once in a while to give some resemblance of an actual tree?
New icon for the Handheld Cannon (The original one didn't really fit with the handheld style. :tongue.gif:):
Texture I posted earlier for the Redstone Cannon:
EDIT: Swapped the icon. I accidentally posted the original draft version. The one there is the actual finished copy. (I fixed a discoloration problem and some curve proportions.)
EDIT II: Swapped it again. I kept looking at it, not liking it. So I redid the "front." I tweaked the curves on the sides a bit, too.
EDIT III (I like edits.): Once again Timeroot, you don't have to use my textures. I just made them because I was bored and thought you might want some. :smile.gif:
EDIT IV: Wait, I just noticed you're trying to add your new items to the items.png file directly. That's why they're showing up invisible. By doing that, nothing else that modifies that .png will be compatible (including ANY texture pack). There's a way to make it retrieve the item icon from a separate .png file (although I don't know how). Same with block textures. If you don't know how, try asking dougbenham. He used this method for his lava boat mod.
Finally posting a new post instead of editing...again. Haha.
Since I came up with a new icon for the handheld cannon, I thought I'd throw in one for the ammo as well. I drew three versions, so you can pick which one you like best (or again, none at all if you want).
Bumping for 1.2.3 compatibility (BEFORE MCP - take that, you so-called modders!)
Also, I'm greatly improved the Cannon Block. Also, some new bugs appeared.
So, my current todo list:
-Make Autocanopy create tree trunks like it *SHOULD*
-Make Cannon blocks aim properly.
-Make Cannon blocks fire arrows correctly.
-Figure out how to load items' and blocks' icons separately from the terrrain.png and item.png, and implement it.
-Make a Scaffold block, as suggested at viewtopic.php?f=25&t=89628. Should be simple, haven't gotten around to it yet.
-Apply the new skin to the cannon. I'm lazy.
I think I'll leave the recipe for the handheld cannon the same. I think that, considering it's awesomeness, it's reasonably balanced.

No need to make this feature. Just make your mods run through 303's Modified Mod Loader cause it already has that.
Het Timeroot, the reason I haven't added your mods to OSMS yet is because I can't tell what is, and is not updated. Please update the OP since bbcode has been working again for some time now.

Pshttttt if it was easy, it wouldn't be as fun! The challenge of obtaining the stuff is half the fun. :biggrin.gif:
EDIT: However, changing the recipe to use fewer TNT would make things easier. I kinda like nd4spd's suggestion.
