well, i just tested the actuall mod and i gotta say im not thrilled :\
I understand this is the first release, but its incredibly imbalanced unless you can prove me otherwise.
I started the a new game, and in 10 minuets i had enough healing runes to keep me going forever.
Not to mention the current use of diamond runes is awful. 1 health bar?
thats 3 of several other healing runes, that would be a waste of a diamond.
Im currently going over a system that checks for combinations of runes so we can have spells that are created depending on a held item (type of staff or base rune). Not to mention better implementations such as temporary faster mining speeds, or higher damage resistance, or maybe even invincibility.
again, i know you have more ideas that require you to look more at the code to figure out, im just ranting because i have nothing better to do :tongue.gif:

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, an opinion cant be awful. Its an opinion. Its your opinion that his opinion is awful.

Hey, I'm kinda new to MC modding [since I'm really new to Minecraft itself, just a few days into it.] I'm wondering, is it possible to take only some of the items and add them to the game's library without having to install the whole mod? For example, if I want the tools but not the runes, can I do that? What if I want only some of the crafting recipes but don't like all of them? I'd like to try to keep my game free of 'complete packages' to minimize conflicts from combining mods and so I can have more control over what custom content I add.
If I end up breaking something that doesn't bother me too much since I don't mind using an inventory editor to add something that can't be made because I didn't add the proper crafting recipe.
And I dunno if it'll be a problem or not but I'll say now I don't intend to repackage anything into another mod or something. This is just to add some variety to my game and maybe give me some better tools to look at since I'm not really a big fan of.... 's color.

I'm going to try not to repeat this again, but: It's a Work In Progress. All of it is unbalanced at the moment because of the fact that there is no Grinder. You'll need to at least get a Diamond pick before you can start getting the resources to grind materials into Dust. You'll need a Diamond to grind with, and Obsidian blocks as the bench part.
Also, Runes won't heal, they'll have special abilities.
Yea its like tat u want me to take a pic of it???
Edit one more thing can u make it so we can load the mods without using the items.png cause it overwrites other pics i had tat were in the same slot as those :tongue.gif:
I can guarantee you that the reason the recipe doesn't "seem" to work is because you haven't added the items.png file. Replace it manually from the Minecraft Advanced folder. To prove this, try clicking on the square where you would receive the item from the recipe, and I bet the ingredients disappear.

Why in the lords name did you quote the whole first post!!?!?
Second if you want a tutorial on how to mod, you dont ask on this thread. You search for tutorials. There are a few out there.
